We were in a 40 foot motorhome towing a suburban and were able to snag site 69 which was plenty big. Followed the recommendation for large vehicles or those towing to come in from the west via seed lake road. I recommend disconnect/reconnect the towed vehicle at the big gravel parking lot at Nacoohchee hydro plant on the way in/out. We did make it into the campground entrance but just barely. Loved the campground and as others have mentioned there is no cell signal but was perfect for our getaway. Want to go back and explore the area more.

Nice campground with a waterfall in the campground to hike. Lots of great hiking and waterfalls close by. The town of Clayton is 20 minutes away with excellent restaurants. This was our third trip to Lake Rabun and will be going back.

Very narrow and twisty road coming from US 23 near Tallula Falls. Trust The forest service recommendation to come down from US 76 via Clayton. If coming north from Atlanta exit US 23 on GA 197 at Clarkesville. After about 20 miles turn right on Burton Dam road. The drive is worth it. Large spread out campground with many electric and water sites and many without. Dump station on site. Site 53 is nice with a small cascading waterfall just behind it. Only issue is the angel falls trail runs beside the site. Site 51 has no water or power but you cant see another camps

Great campgrounds! We tent camped in loop 2. Beautiful hikes and the lake across the street for hanging out or fishing. We had an awesome weekend and will be back!!

One of the cleanest sites I've ever stayed at. The grounds management were extremely nice and they always made sure we didn't need anything. The showers and bathrooms we're damn near spotless. Even with an almost full site, they stayed really clean, which was pleasant. Make sure you bring firewood or get some before turning on the main road which leads to the grounds... If not, it's about 20-25 mins to the house which has tons of wood for sale. (It's by the gas station heading back towards Helen.) We plan on coming back for sure!

I highly recommend this campground. I stayed at site 38 in Loop 1. The host is a very friendly man, he greeted me every morning. At site 38 there is more privacy than in others and I liked that. It is next to a hill so it is easy to find wood for the bonfire. It is very close to the entrance and the bathroom. The bathrooms are very large and there is hot water, in the three days that I bathed it did not run out, it lasts a long time. The bathrooms are very clean and there is a garbage container outside. I recommend going to the Angel waterfall. And to the lake that is in front of the entrance of the camp. It was from October 24 to 27, 2024 and it was already fall. But on the 27th it was much more intense than the first day.

Tent camped on the site, but big enough for camper. Nice private site with a wooded hill behind it.

Everyone was amazing, every spot beautiful. Easy ride into a couple towns around the lake. Some spots difficult to pull into at night so make sure you call the managers for advice, but they are the best! They will gladly help you out with tips and tricks. Would give a million stars if i could!!!

Great campground. Very level spaces, although the road pattern is not well thought out, and I could see if I had something bigger than a popup camper, getting turned around to exit would be a chore (this is loop 2, by the way). Loop 2 is also somewhat distant to the beach/swim area but the map gave a hint to that. We were conveniently located to the hiking trail, so that was a plus. Bathrooms were clean and well lit, although somewhat warm. It was June after all, so I would not expect necessarily cool, but man it was hot in those bathrooms! We very much enjoyed our stay and would go again.

Nice campsite, lots of shade, clean facilities. There with a group of friends. We tubed down Deep Creek, enjoyed sitting on the bank and watching other tubers come by.

It was a lovely, quiet place to camp. The sites are spread out and some even secluded. Don't forget good hiking boots and even a good hiking stick or poles!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
