A better description of sites is needed. As reserved #25 for or trailer. The angle was too steep to use. Manager not around to assist. Ended up in a site that worked for us, though challenging. Location excellent on the creek easy access to trail heads.

Nice campground. Our site had plenty of tree cover and was protected from the wind.

The entrance to the campground is not well marked. You need to drive through a private campground into the National Forest campground beyond. Good hiking in the area.

Great campground, end of the road before Big Pines Lakes. Campground manager did a great job (and had some kids for my son to run around with). No running water, but I knew that going in. Early October, and temps dropped to the low 30s at night, but a full moon, millions of stars and the trickle of the creek made for a memorable experience. We were at #20, which looked like it was by itself on the map, but I guess 21 was right across the roadnot as secluded as Id hoped, but still a great site and campground. Wish I brought fishing gear for the trout pond!

Nice campground. Close to the trailhead but there's no water. You have to drive down the road to the next campground for it

Really cute campsite with a separate space for tents in the back. Plenty of space between campsites. Clean restrooms. What's not to like?

Very clean spaces and bathrooms. Campsites were well spaced apart and quiet. Never saw the camp host, but the place was kept very nice. Amazing for a public campground. Thank you.

No. 7 was a good site for me. Lots of space with deer passing through a distance away. Definitely good for one large tent. Shade off and on.

This is a nice campground with nice views of the mountains. The sites are good and offer pretty good privacy. This is a dry campground, no water, only in the river that runs through campground. There is water at nearby Sage Flat campground for drinking. The campground has a general store with some items, not many, but you can buy bottled water. There are no showers, no flush toilets. There are some cabins for rent also. It is about 10 miles from Big Pine uphill.

Our site was shady and beautifully maintained with a carefully raked tent site. The camp host was very approachable, helpful, and responsive.

Clean, quiet, discrete sites with trees separating them. Nice water sounds from Big Pine Creek.

Just camped for a night before heading up on the Big Pine Lakes trail. Perfect site.

We love this campground. Our family has been coming here for 60 years. It is a beautiful environment and a chance to just unplug

Lots of shade. While we were staying there was no water at all and we got there without any information (maybe our fault?) but even on the information board was nothing about that fact and the host was not very helpful in this situation.Additionally we didnt liked the bed for the tent. It was too small and had wooden barriers so it was tricky to place the tent.

Campsites are cramped/piled on top of one another and have almost no privacy. Practically need a four-wheel drive to navigate the road through the campground. Camp host was not available the three times I stopped by to try to land a different campsite (mine was right next to the bathroom with no room for a tent - which was not clear when I booked). I ended up forfeiting the fee and booking a much more desirable site at the Upper Sage Flat campground.

The campsite we reserved was not acceptable! The site was on multiple levels and the bear box was on the lowest level making it impossible to carry our ice chest down to that level for security. We were able to find another site at an additional cost..$. The campsite manager could not refund our reservation costs($), saying that he did not have authority. We request a refund, or a credit towards our next recreation.gov reservation.

I made this reservation very close to the date we visited so my name wasnt on the camp post. There was no water available and I found out later it was a dry campsite. Otherwise it was a nice venue and we had a good time.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
