While its a bare-bones campground again, its as beautiful as ever. A great place for hikes. Really quiet.

Perfect location for great hiking! Site was right across from the restrooms, someone loud and smelly.. might choose a different site next time

Great campground. Spots are very close to each other though.

Site 31 was perfect for the 4 of us. I read that the driveway was extremely small and the campsite was on a slight slope. Leading up to it, I was really worried. But once we got there, we made do. In fact it worked out really well. Close to the restrooms, garbage, a creek nearby and hammock-compatible trees! We had plans to connect our tent and Tesly Y SUV together. We had to do it in the driveway, but it worked out OK. We would gladly select this site next time.

Camp host was very kind and helpful. There is no running water at the camp at the moment but the ports potties were very clean. Many great hikes and views outside of the main valley itself.

This place is fantastic! Definitely more out of the way and at a higher elevation than the valley, but I appreciated that because it is not as hot, and much less crowded. This particular site is kind of hard to find spot with tight parking space. Perfect for a hatchback but would not bring a trailer/camper to this site.

The campground was quiet, everyone well behaved and considerate of the noise level. The porto potties were clean at all times. Parking was easy. Easy to dispose of trash and recyclables. Camping site was clean.

Site 38 was listed as having room for a 20 foot RV, and it did not. We were totally stuck and had to ask our neighbors in spot 37 to park there. It was a really bad experience. I would suggest that Site 38 be removed. I would also not every stay here again.

So glad WW opened up finally. I don't usually car camp and opt for wilderness camping instead but will say that it is very convenient to have a car to pack extra things. Very happy that we were able to make a fire (in the fire ring) and although there is no water (I'm used to finding my own) or perma-potties, the addition of clean portapotties was nice. Wildflowers were out in droves. :)

So beautiful about a hour away from village but it was a beautiful drive. Felt very safe. Just hope they are able to upgrade portapotties to bathrooms. Looks like building are there just need maintenance.

Great campground if you are in a site where you fit. Blind getting a site online makes it hard to know what you will get. Lots of great spots though and we loved it.

Stevie - the VIP campground host was awesome - kind, informative, vigilant.The porta potties were clean, and there was water in the footpump hand cleaning station throughout our visit. White Wolf campground was quiet and tidy. We loved it!

Beautiful location. This place, and all of our National Parks are worth fighting for, and protecting!

This was our first time staying in Yosemite National Park and we would choose White Wolf Campground again for a future summer stay. It was 20 degrees cooler in Tuolomne Meadows area than in Yosemite Valley and for a hot July weekend that made for very comfortable nights. We also appreciated having no cell service so we could truly unplug for a couple days. Most of the campsites were well shaded like our site #50. Other sites were a little more exposed but would have still been a comfortable temperature. The bear food lockers were all well maintained and gave plenty of room to store all our food and toiletries. The bathrooms were closed while we were there but they provided well maintained portable toilets and portable sinks to keep up our hygiene. The sequoia groves were close by for a nice short hike and there was a little creek that goes right through the campground. It was only an hour drive to go visit Yosemite Valley for the more popular activities like Mist Trail and Glacier Point. This was not a boring drive either, we saw beautiful vistas around each turn.

We have loved White Wolf for many years. So happy to see it reopened. The volunteer host was visible and helpful. Due to sewer and plumbing issues there was no water and portable bathroom were in use. The portable bathroom company serviced the campground regularly.

Spent two weeks camping at National Parks in California. This was by far our favorite spot.

Overall a well-maintained campground with nice (even) campsites with great fire pits and the basic amenities you would expect. Bring insect repellent ;)

I love how far away from the valley it is. The crowds mostly stayed away and do the solitude was so very welcomed.

Beautiful campground

The area and campground is gorgeous! The fellow campers are just private enough and just community minded enough to enjoy the serenity up there, but work together to corral our curious morning bear visitor out of the campground. There's a beautiful stream nearby, hiking, and warm evening weather for our early summer night. I would go back in a heartbeat!

White wolf was a great location to be a between the Tuluomne area and the Valley. Spots are spaced well. It was quiet and peaceful. Only problem I had was the bathrooms werent open, only portables were available and I feel like having a real bathroom available is a huge reason people pay for a campsite. Hopefully this problem will be resolved in the near future.

This campground is in the middle of an active bear habitat and a huge bear tried to come to our site.

Outstanding stay at White Wolf campground that has been closed for about three years! Park employees clearly worked hard to get it open for campers this year with portapotties that are cleaned daily. Bring your own water and firewood - neither available there this year. There is plenty of small, dry kindling wood, though. Many of the sites are nice and woodsy. Great location close to multiple trailheads to lakes, day hikes, and backpacking destinations. A creek runs around the campground. We enjoyed following the small river on the trail from the campground to fishless Harden Lake. The trail takes you through previously burned forest that is growing back and very interesting to see. Quiet campground except when we were all banging pots and yelling to get a bear to stay away; also note that generators are allowed basically at mealtimes, from 7am. I highly recommend staying here!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
