There was no check in stand and people were screaming and banging things until 4AM. Bathrooms were clean and the campsite itself was nice.

Great clean and loved the new bear box. Clean bathrooms and rangers keep informed for safety!

What a lovely campground tucked up on Tioga Pass Rd! The creek was still flowing so we were able to filter water. Got pretty chilly at night (below freezing) so remember to bring hat/gloves/layers. The campsites are close together so highly recommend earplugs for the tent users. Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked with TP and hand sanitizer. Rangers were doing spot checks and replacing the bear boxes with new (bigger) ones. Appreciate all the efforts by NPS staff! Thank you for being the foundation of us getting to enjoy such a magical, unique part of the world.

Great spot, good tree coverage,

Site #55 is very spread out between the parking area, tent site, bear box, fire pit, and picnic table. I didnt care for it and would not recommend the site. Luckily campground rangers were in the campground and allowed me to relocate to an administrative camp host site without having to make any calls or reservation changes through recreation.gov.

The campground is well organized, there's no water but bathrooms are clean, we stayed there at the beginning of October and it was crazy cold

Campground is very good, but there were many people poaching sites. They would come in well after dark make all kinds of noise and keep their headlights on for too long and the leave as the sun started to come up. I realize that some werent poaching possibly but there were fat too many of them doing it. This was happening even before the shutdown.

Very nice campground. Plenty of space on my campsite, but the road was a bit rough

It was a great day. My site was right next to the bathrooms, and it was very quiet. The road coming in to the campground was a little bumpy with quite a few potholes, but other than that, it was pretty good.

Great location near all the activities in Tuolumne Meadows. There was no camp host or water available. No Verizon reception which was lovely but made it tricky for some last minute planning. Quiet campground for the most part. Got quite muddy with the rain.

Signage was poor and we struggled to find our site after dark. When we arrived at our site, there were people in our site who claimed the host told them it was first come first serve. We couldn't find the host to verify this as the host placard was blank.

We arrived just after sunset, and our reserved site was taken by someone else who was sleeping in their car. Unfortunately there was no camp host to talk to, so we were unable to stay at the site that we paid for. Thankfully someone else was nice enough to let us share their site.

Overall, we had a very good trip. Beware of hungry squirrels.

The area is amazing and this is a place close to great hikes.

Pros: Location; clean. Cons: Noise from road and RV generators; sites close together with little or no visual privacy.

Clean vault toilets, enough so that you dont have to hike too much for it. Its a convenient location when you hike along the Tioga pass, but its quite a drive to the valley which might be why it has availability with little lead time.

I loved the more remote, rustic feel of Porcupine Creek! I must say though, the flush toilets and running water at other campgrounds are nice too!

When I arrived on Wednesday the loop was empty. Outhouse was clean but low on TP. Definitely had some late-night arrivals of people I'm guessing who did not pay. Annoying because I was in the farthest loop and hoping to avoid that. Good base camp for day hikes off Tioga pass.

Forested campground not far from Tenaya Lake and Tuolomne Meadows. Vault toilets were well maintained. There is no cell service in the camp, but a few miles east there are enough bars to receive and send text.

Campsite 47 is a great site except for one potentially huge problem. The campground map on rec.gov is incorrect. Site 46 is not where it is located on the map but rather immediately adjacent to 47. The tent pad for 46 is only 20 feet from the bear box and table in 47. So if 46 is empty or you have really quiet neighbors in 46, site 47 is great. If not then site 47 could be awful. We had a great time because we luckily had great neighbors. And of course Yosemite is as usual awesome regardless.

Isolated Campground with a lot of privacy

Tioga Road traffic can be heard from site 1, but that is true throughout this campground, and traffic noticeably dies down at night. This is the first site located just after the check-in table. The bear box is very low to the ground and the picnic table is sloped. Two reasonable spots to pitch tents surrounded by tall conifers. Mostly flat driveway, connected to adjacent site 3, which is also next to the dumpsters. Nearest vault toilets are a two minute walk uphill. A very small creek adjacent to the site was mostly stagnant with bugs in the fall. As you might expect, the sites at the back end of the campground were the most private, but they were fully booked during my visit, and good luck getting a large vehicle down those narrow and twisting back driveways.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
