Decent campsite, didnt realize we needed to walk uphill but that was my mistake for not reading all the way down. Saw a fox and heard elk all night

Lewis Lake campground has become more populated over the years with more sites and more larger vehicles, but it's still a great spot further south in the park.Thanks to the many park staff that keep Lewis and all areas of the park open for use. You need more funding not less!

Good size spot to camp, and close to the road, but enough trees in the way hard to realize it, short walk to the nice lake as well.

Good location and a good camping spot. We had a small class B and it fit nicely. Some locations were a bit unlevel camp host was great. Would stay there again.

Our experience was great, our (Ranger?) Lilly was very helpful, it was just a little chilly at the end of after being away from home 10 days.

The first night camping there the quiet rules were not enforced. Generators were running off and on late into the night and there was a group camping that was up until the early morning hours that were yelling off and on and talking loud. So it was a night of very little sleep after a very long day. The sign says quiet hours strictly enforced and that was NOT the case. The second night was quiet as all of the noisy people were gone, but you should not say you strictly enforce quiet when that is not the case. I was very disappointed. Mammoth does a much better job if making sure quiet is enforced.

Beautiful secluded sites in the trees. Toilets average. Like that you can collect wood. Beautiful sundowner on the lake

Staff was exceptionally helpful. Facilities were clean. Love that campground

This was a great site. Quiet from any traffic but not the wildlife (hello bugling elk! Love). The site had a flat, well defined tent pad. It was right next to a service road that other campers used to walk down to the lake though. But, so did we. So I get it.

Nice and quiet, no mosquitoes, kinda shares with site 8, not really private from other sites, easy to find site, definitely a small uphill walk to site, pretty flat compared to other sites with a slope, right across from restroom so youd definitely hear people coming by

Our parks are not for sale! Amazing rangers, nature, and facilities. Keep it that was and give the staff their jobs back

I enjoyed my stay. The campsite was roomy, restrooms were clean and well maintained, and water was available at multiple convenient places. All of the sites had good tree cover and shade. The atmosphere was classic national park campground; quiet with families enjoying their time in the park. Its location is convenient to many areas in Yellowstone. The rangers and other staff members were very nice.

I guess things went as good as they could. Its difficult to line up campsites with your backcountry reservations plus Im still trying to figure out how it all works. Releasing campsites a little at a time in the fall was good.

Nice place. Simple but adequate, rather rustic. We enjoyed our stay. Very nice camp host . Only one vault toilet for our area.

Wonderful experience, beautiful tent site with ample parking.

Absolutely beautiful campground. And we really liked Sally, the camp host who checked us in. Friendly and funny. Would recommend this campground again.

The B loop backs the main road and feels pretty tight overall with spacing, but our site's spot was nicely tucked away in the trees, feeling almost private, with the tent pad far enough away from the firepit and bear box in case we did have any visitors (received none but a marten!). When you leave the check in station and enter the campground, the one-way signs may be confusing at first (too far up the road or too small, white arrows fading).

Inside park, which is nice. Vault toilets...phew!Small sites...right next to neighbor.No services.
@DebbieC4330982 · Camped on Sep 10, 2025 at Campsite #66
Check in was easy. The spaces were clearly marked. Our space was level enough for sleeping in our van. The park was quiet even though it was full.

Older campground. Toilets were stinky, navigational signs in campground when approaching at night are terrible. Disappointing spaces that are not near level. This campground needs updating.

Several great waterfalls nearby.

There isnt a flat spot in this campsite. The only semi-flat spot was up near the road, and even that was still sloped enough to be uncomfortable overnight. The site was beautiful and conveniently close to the vault toilet, quiet and peaceful at night. Good except for the slope.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
