Fully shaded campsite was super pleasant and close to bathrooms and potable water. However, for the last few nights there was a family that showed up behind me that stayed up super late, was loud and disruptive, breaking all types of rules and there was no camp hosts around to enforce them disrupting everyone around them. There is a lot of privacy between the campsites to the right and left, but very little privacy with the campsite directly above (where the loud family was).

Great spot, well shaded and very near the lake. While not totally waterfront, there is no site between 67 and the water. The site is close to 66 which is just up the hill, and to 65 which is just across from both. None of these sites have tons of privacy from one another, but we still really enjoyed our site and the campground. The restroom is very near the site, so bring earplugs to avoid hearing toilets flush and doors shut in the middle of the night.

Great, peaceful spot. Dog friendly. Theres many closed sites for hazards. Theres also bear boxes in each campsite. No bears while we were there. 5 minutes from Diablo Lake.

My campsite was very private and quiet, just birds and deer as neighbors.Bathrooms vere clean. I like the location of this campground because of the lake access and several hiking trails nearby.

Nice campground for our 25' motorhome. No hookups, and heavily wooded, clean restrooms; No showers. Easy access to kayaking Lake Diablo and Thunder Creek Trailhead.

This was the most beautiful campsite so far. Loved how organized and clean the campsites were and also the facilities including the bathrooms were top notch. They dont have a showers like the ones on state park but are nicer. One other thing to note is be prepared to deal with mosquitoes and bugs, not specifically this site but any sites in the north cascades will have this issue. The hiking trail nearby is perfect for kids and adults alike. If you are driving an electric, there is also a DC charging within 15 minutes, but bring your own CCS adapter if you need one. The ranger Becky was amazing, talk to her or other rangers to get your kids a Junios ranger badge. Btw zero cell coverage, I treat that as a positive :)

Colonial Creek is an awesome spottons of big shady trees that keep things cool and give it a really peaceful vibe. There are water spigots nearby which makes things super convenient, and its just a quick walk to the beach and rec areas on Lake Diablo. It does get pretty packed during peak summer, but the setting and access to the lake totally make up for it!

The bathrooms were clean and the rangers were very nice, but otherwise it was way too crowded and the spots were tiny. I felt like I was in the middle of a football tailgate.

My partner and I had a great experience at Colonial Creek South campground. Our first site #088 was right on Diablo Lake. Beautiful views and convenient water access. The bathrooms seemed recently updated and there was pottable water near our campground.

This site was very easy to pull over into with our trailer. The only downside was all the smoke from campsites along the lake.

Nice and clean. Busy place. Great trails nearby.

Wooded, very green, great shade for summer, site small for seated 2 cars & camper, bathrooms closed, beach over crowed by day users. Hikes were beautiful less crowded. Visitor center was great.

We stayed at site A96 and absolutely loved our time at Colonial Creek Campground. The site was in great shape, level, clean, and surrounded by lush greenery that made it feel like a true Pacific Northwest escape. The campground is stunning overall, nestled right by the lake with easy access to trails and water.Bathrooms were clean and well-stocked throughout our stay. The only downside is the lack of privacy, as many sites are in full view of others and sound travels easily. That said, most campers were respectful of quiet hours, and it never felt disruptive.Spending a day on Ross Lake is a must, renting a canoe or boat from Ross Lake Resort is an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to explore the area's beauty. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting North Cascades.

Although site was near boat launch, it actually wasn't too loud and felt more private compared to other campsites. I appreciated the shade on hotter days and trees that were perfect for a hammock. Restrooms were clean and toilet paper well stocked. The site was spacious and could house two families if needed.

Diablo is our favorite place for canoeing and kayaking. Pristine. Peaceful. Beautiful.

Not a single level site in the CG. Due to lack of rangers, they ask you to leave something at your site to show occupied, unfortunately our stuff was stolen.

Water was beautiful the site was right on the water! Awesome hikes right from the campground. Potable water was close by and bathrooms clean. We had a great time and would come again . Helpful camp hosts

Amazing spot right on Diablo Lake, the blue of the lake looks painted.

Inspite of occasional showers two out of the three days I was there, as always I love Colonial Creek campground. I was glad that it was early enough in the season when I could still have a campfire....Wish I had seen some stars but can't blame that on the campground.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
