Nice and quiet, clean, and bug spots. Plenty of room between your neighbors

We have been camping at Sharp Creek campground for the last 4 years. It is the campground we just keep coming back to! It is very well maintained, peaceful and breathtakingly beautiful. The camp hosts have all been welcoming and engaging. They take great care of the place

Liked the paved roads and sites. Good having both potable and drinking water available. Clean restrooms. Lots of shade. Many of the camp sites have good spacing between them. A very enjoyable experience. Good location.

The spots are quite large, it is very nice and quiet. The bathrooms are well maintained. Also very close to fishing. I would totally recommend Sharp Creek. We can not wait till next year to return.

Just an overall beautiful peaceful place

Love the amount of shade and privacy between most of the sites on Oak Loop where we stayed. There was a bit of road noise and music coming from a bar? restaurant? outdoor concert? both nights but we still drifted off to sleep fairly quickly. Outhouse style bathrooms were kept well-stocked with toilet paper.

Living down in Phoenix, we love escaping up north and being among the pine trees. The easy access to bathrooms and dumpster were helpful. We especially enjoyed being so close to Willow Springs Lake and stopping into Payson for a quick bite to eat.

Facilities were cleaned and well kept.Noise after 10pm was taken care of by forest rangers.I enjoyed the walks around the campground area.

Sharp Creek is a great location. Amenities were clean and campsites were far enough apart that you didnt feel like you were camping on top of someone else. Lots of extra curricular activities in the local area.

This is a very nice camp ground, well maintained. The camp hosts are overbearing and nosey. They are always patrolling stopping in at every site , it seems to make sure people have their pets on leashes at all times, making sure people keep camp grounds clean and making sure you leave at exactly 11am. They kept almost harassing people at every site, it was kinda funny to watch them roll up on people for no reason but to ensure that they wont having a good time , its like they forget the reason why people go camping, I understand the need to ensure that the campgrounds are maintained but no one wants to go camping with their authoritative grandpa or weird uncle or nosey aunt Susie ALWAYS looking over their shoulders.

I have been going here for about 15 years. This year there were so many wasps at group site 3 that it was unbearable. The wasps have their nests inside the pillars of the ramada so there were just so many. Also we saw a baby rattle snake for the first time and also there was no water in the creek. The bathrooms had so many flies it was disgusting. Again i been coming for 15 years so i am not new to bugs and camping. It was just a lot this time.

Nice large sites! Quiet.

The recreation.gov website was not operating correctly to modify arrival date even with the email sent out with a link. Seems like you could only cancel. The site had not been cleared of pine needles and gravel in a very long time . The location is great and hiking at Horton Creek is beautiful. There are a lot of birds in this area if you like watching. Overall a very nice experience

The campsites were clean and it was mid week so it was also very quiet. Ive camped here several times over the last nearly 20 years. The toilets are always clean and lit up at night. The host is friendly and helpful.

Nice quiet campground. We enjoyed seeing the cows roaming around. Neighbors were smoking cigarettes and marijuana which was annoying and another had a wood fire going at night. Needs better enforcement of the rules.

Sharp Creek Campground, Payson AZ. is a beautiful place. Staff were always helpful, giving hiking trail directions. The toilets were clean and stocked. Improvements: signage on garbage cans and RECYCLING. ALL. National Park service should INVEST in recycling.

We love this campground, especially the tent only area but the cleaning of the bathrooms was subpar this visit. The vault toilets could have been scrubbed on the inside and outside better. They also seemed to be quite full which is concerning seeing that this was only May. There should be signs in there asking people to close the lid and maybe an air freshner would be nice. We did have toilet paper although it was pretty close sometimes and the trash was emptied each day. Usually camp hosts stop by and check in but we never saw them. The campsite next to us had a campfire going despite there being fire restrictions which wasn't enforced in this particular instance.

We stayed in tent spot 2. Very nice camp site. Near the restrooms and nice flat space for the tent. Privacy was decent but spot 1 is close so if you have noisy neighbors you will definitely hear everything. We will definitely stay at the campground again. Very nice hosts.

Campsites are large with paved parking spots and the camp hosts are friendly. Easy drive from the valley.

Beautiful campground with spacious sites.

Most campsites are good sized and spread out from each other. Lots of tall, ponderosas and cool weather and make this favorite.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
