Excellent experience despite not being able to have a fire. Spaces are well spaced out and have privacy. Asphalt and camp sites are well taken care of. Bathrooms are clean and serviceable. Easy to get in and out of sites, loops and spaces.

They were logging and that really looks depressing and tore up. Good news is that it will grow back in a couple of years... bad news is they are not finished with the camp ground. Also during my stay in the park have noticed a few places that do not accept America the Beautiful Senior pass in day use areas. Have the veterans pass on the way but dont know if they will honor that either. $10 just to ride my bicycle through the area is not Good. especially after paying $90 for the America The Beautiful Senior pass. So it is good for Seniors to pay twice?

Our campsite had adequate shade and a lovely area behind it where the kids could play, explore, and walk the dog.

I like this campground because it is high and dry most of the time. and trees have been thinned out to be OK for solar power; However, the new changes mean no firewood for sale because the government won't allow host to handle any money like they have done in the past. Now you have to pay online or use a kiosk at the entrance. I always make reservations and pay then for the site I choose. This Campground is midway up to the rim so it is calmer than the rim sites and Sharp Creek has paved roads for well-groomed sites... tents have a parking area and you have to take a path to those sites. I have been camping here since 2012.

We loved Sharps creek campground. The host Dale was a delight. We were lucky to visit with him. He suggested a great hike to sharps creek and hunter creek for us. He also is a great singer!
The campground is very clean and bathrooms were immaculate. We very much enjoyed our stay. The campground is very close to Tonto Fish Hatchery and many wonderful hikes.
See Canyon and See Springs as well as Horton Creek hike we enjoyed too.

For solar power, Sharp Creek is a bright place. For hiking Trailhead 260 to Drew trail is great. And a short drive to the Rim gives a less challenging walk on paved path.

A older campground with lots of shade, large sites and very quiet. We arrived on a Wednesday and there were few campers in our of area.We were in Oak 11.We have a 36 Motor home plus a van. There was plenty of room for us in a pull thru site.It a beautiful early early September day with low 70 temperature. The picnic area with metal table was very nice. The hosts were a very nice older couple who loved their job. They kept everything looking nice and clean .When we left on Sunday they came by to say goodbye and asked us how our stay was.We never have a camp host do this any where we have been.It was even great on Friday and Saturday when families and motorcycle groups checked in.The area has so many activities including fishing, hiking, playing in creeks,ATV trails and shopping and restaurants in Payson.

Beautiful area, the bathrooms were clean and did not smell. This campground could use a dump site as the nearest one is at a campground that can't accommodate larger RVs

Always clean and tidy. I love the friendly camp host this year, welcome back, we missed you! Thought it was going to be dry but the rain came and it was beautiful. New Solar panels worked fine, but I did make them portable so positioning was not a problem because of shade.

A little warm this year because I went earlier. Lots of empty sites. Pushed my hiking and biking to the limit, found the Christopher Creek Spring. My bike got to ride a lot of the trails I went on.
