Cages Bend Campground in Sumner County is located just 14 min east of Hendersonville, TN with an elevation of 479 feet. There are a total of 42 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 87 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. All sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $30.00 to $35.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, laundry facility, playground, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

I've lived close to Cages Bend for over 50 years, but have never camped here until this past weekend. Man I didn't know what i was missing. This little hidden gem is the perfect spot on Old Hickory Lake for camping and taking in an amazing sunrise. You can easily launch your kayak from the shore or catch that big bass you've been trying for. They have a boat launch if you want to bring that or your Jet ski with you. Lots of trees help keep the summer heat from beating down on you and did I mention wildlife? We saw tons of Deer, Ducks, Geese, squirrels, Turtles and snakes, but thankfully the snakes stayed in the water! The camp host, Tanya and Donnie (i hope i got their names right) were amazing from Day 1. Very helpful and kind, blows my mind to see any negative reviews about them, they were truly Amazing! The campground is kept very clean and they take pride in keeping it that way. We stayed in spot 28 the first night, then moved over to 30 for 4 nights. Both of them are great sites. We have verizon phone/internet service and it worked perfectly there. I could go on and on, but i'll finish by saying, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to Cages Bend Campground. We camped at over 50 campgrounds and this is in my top 3!

Beautiful campground with most sites having view of the river. As with most COE campgrounds, water and electricity at site and dump station available on the way out. Campsite was fairly level, and good shade.

Bathrooms were clean, plenty of hot water. Hosts were very helpful and extremely nice and friendly. Very knowledgeable.

We stayed at site 14 and 21 in a fifth wheel rig. The camp host was so kind the fishing was pretty good from the bay, better fishing at 14 better set up for swimming at 21. Easier set up for dogs at 14 with a keel grass area near the camper vs 21 was level once you get down to the next level. Getting to the park- pay attention and dont miss the turn. There is a curve on the road right before the camp ground that is more or less a single lane if youre with a larger rig, drive slow. The campground is very well kept. and no issues with the noise level at any point. We are younger but it was an older crowd that was very friendly. This place is truly a hidden gem if you are looking for quiet and water.

Cages Bend COE is a nice, small quiet campground. The hosts were friendly, but I never saw them outside of the check in building. Im used to seeing the camp hosts riding through to check on things or to just be seen. We were in site 40 with a 36 fifth wheel and had plenty of room. The only bad thing about that site was its autumn and an oak tree over hangs the site. The acorns were rather noisy. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the park. Lovely views of the lake, level site, picnic table and fire ring at each site. Grounds were tidy, showers and toilets were clean. We would stay again.

Cages Bend was the perfect location for a weekend, solo getaway. I snagged a waterfront space and had everything I needed. Bathrooms were clean, firepit was clear, and the whole campground was manicured. I'd love to visit again!

Overall it was great. Only issue was the guy that ran the place was restrictive on the areas he would alow me to bass fish. That was lame.

Lovely campground. Sites 4 & 5 are under a walnut tree couldnt sit outside because of falling walnuts ( October). Bathhouse desperately needs upgrading!
