Be cautious about which spot you choose. Some have concrete walls that interfere with your steps. Also there is no gravel, just cinder Its a mess when it rains. Also our site wasnt cleaned very well, look like the leaves and stuff was blown to a corner.

My fire pit was rusted through the one next to me was rusted through. I go to a lot of campsites in the state of Tennessee, and it seems like Cages Bend gets the least attention.

People rave about this place so we couldn't wait to experience it. The good: very friendly camp host and all the guests we encountered were great. You get the feeling that many of them more or less live here. It is quiet and the setting overlooking the lake is very pretty. There is a small fishing pier on site that was nice, just needed someone to pick up the trash. The not so good: The sites are just OK. They seem tired and many are either quite small, very close together, or angled to where it would be difficult to pull in. Lots of debris (tires, shoes, cans, etc.) washed up on the shore of our waterfront site. Too much algae and weeds to make fishing from the bank any fun. The grass was way overgrown throughout the site. Fire pit isn't a ring in the ground like you would expect at a camp site but a rusted-out raised shelf that I suppose serves its purpose but doesn't really work for a real campfire. There was also this strange hunk of concrete off behind the site that maybe once had a purpose but now just gets in the way and creates something to trip over in the dark. In my mind, the whole thing just reeks of apathy. All in all it was not as enjoyable as others (Seven Points comes immediately to mind) so we probably wouldn't stay here again.

Many lovely peaceful sites right on the water. Lots of big shady trees so many shady sites. Great place to kayak / boat if you bring your own. Boat ramp next to campground. Kroger, fast food, gas stations a few miles away. Only one washer/ dryer in campground.

This was our second time here, and we already have a trip booked for Fall. This campground is absolutely on of our favorites. When we arrive for a stay we don't really leave, If one was looking for lunch or dinner recommendations, one our favorite nearby places is Double Dog's . As for our specific site, 16, the site is very large . There is ample room to accommodate larger RV's. The constraint may possibly be the ability to back the RV into the site. The somewhat narrow drive coupled with the site situated directly across from 16 makes it pretty tight. I didn't run into any issues, but I am towing a 33 foot trailer with a short wheel based half ton pickup. When taking into account any shade offered by the awning attached to the RV, this site has shade throughout the day. There are more shaded sites within the campground, but this one was not bad.

First problem was driving into the entrance. You enter into what would seem to be the exit. Driving a pull behind for the first time proved to be a challenge backing up to go in the correct entrance. Second problem was our sight 16. Once we saw how difficult the backing was for this sight we know why it was available when we booked it. Our experienced neighbor backed it in for us but he too had a great deal of trouble. Grass needed mowing. Bath house needs much maintenance and cleaning. We did enjoy the stay however and are returning. Fishing was fun.

First time and will return!! Clean sites and beautiful views. Tucked away and private but yet close enough to anything you would need while you are away from home. Loved it!!

Park is in great shape. Bath house clean. Park attendant is very friendly, and will to help in any way he can.Site 16 is extremely hard to get into with a 26 trailer Camper without damaging the truck. It needs more pavement as a larger entrance on the Southwest corner, so the drive will be wider to back in to. That site I will never get again. All other sites are excellent.

We loved the views of the lake and the terraced sites. The interior roads were somewhat tight and tree limbs low. We arrived on a Tuesday when the camp host is off so there wasn’t a tag left for us at the gate but not a problem but no cleanup of the site between uses. The bathhouse is at the top of the hill and was fairly clean but could use updating. The site had a large patio area including table and fire pit.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
