Dorabelle Campground is located in the High Sierra Ranger District, Sierra National Forest (57 min northeast of Clovis, CA) with an elevation of 5,416 feet. There are a total of 64 campsites including 18 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid October. 42 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 19 and 43 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $40.00 to $82.00. Some amenities include swimming. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

This campground was beautiful, peaceful, and clean. The pit toilets didnt smell bad (!) and were cleaned daily. Our site was raked before we arrived and ready to set up camp! Folks quieted down by 10 and the mornings were mellow. The walk down to the lake was only about 5 minutes but the decline/incline was steep. People leave their shades structures, paddle boards, etc. on the beach overnight so finding a spot as a newcomer can be challenging. Overall a wonderful campground and we hope to return!

Great camp hosts, very clean facilities, many of the sites feel very private yet are close by other sites. Definitely going back in the future.

This is a very loud and crowded campground with no real feel of being on the lake as there are no views and access is not close. It could probably be fun if you are camping with young kids or wanted to camp with several families, but if you enjoy camping for solitude and nature, this is not the place. It was clean and well maintained though.

Camp Dorabella is beautiful the only thing we experienced this year was loud campers late at night at night.

Beautiful campground with large, spaced out campsites that are well shaded and walking distance to Shaver Lake. Nice & friendly camp hosts that take great care of the campground! Definitely plan on returning!

We loved camping at Dorabelle. The site are clean and spacious. The bathrooms are cleaned several times a day and were always clean. Camp hosts were very friendly and eager to help. Our favorite campsite around Shaver lake!

Our campsite was clean with a large picnic table that was sturdy and made of manmade materials so I could clean it easily. The restroom was also clean with plenty of TP. The camp staff were very friendly and helpful. We walked easily to Shaver Lake and enjoyed the many paths.

We had a great time. The campground was clean, we were able to walk to the shores of Shaver Lake to fish, there were no loud noises after 10pm, and the employees were nice and helpful. We highly recommend Dorabelle.

This campground is one of the most well maintained campgrounds we have been to. Hosts are lovely and the location cant be beat. Shaver pizza and monkey bread are must stops every time we go.

Friendly host, clean facilities and campsite. Dorabelle gets very crowded because it is popular. So easy to enjoy days on the lake.

Very easy travel, check in and the place was nice, clean and well run. The lack of electric or water at the sites, the lack of any shower facilities and no RV dump station are the real barriers for many. However, we knew all that before going. Ill definitely return

Dorabelle campground is the absolute BEST place to go if you camp. Amazing Camp Hosts. Clean toilets. They even rake the campsites! Close to an excellent cove of Shaver Lake, Perimeter trail, and the town of Shaver. Love it, love it, love it!

Very well maintained campsite with walking distance from the lake.Site 47 is good for a small tent and morning do get hot with rising sun so bring a sunshade, evenings are perfect with view of meadows. Decent cell service ( Verizon) to make and receive calls.
