Great campground. The host at the front entrance was so helpful when we had a car issue and had to deal with AAA. Thank you!!

We were not notified ahead of our trip that the well was not working properly. So flushing toilets were not available. Showers at the Inn were not available. Water was labeled non-potable. So we had to boil or purchase water for $4/gal. Because of the no flushing toilets the pit toilets were filling quickly. Yellow jackets were out in full force. Pack a trap. You will thank me for that later.

I will no longer recommend this campground.

The water supply is low, there for the bathrooms were closed, which no communication was made by website, email, or at check in. 2 port-a-potties for 2 loops. If I had known ahead of time plans could have been made. Bear boxes are needed to store food properly.

Very friendly camp host and staff. Nicely organized and a card with my name was waiting at the campsite. Beautiful creek for exploring and dipping. No bugs, amazing stars. The biggest problem, of course, was the lack of potable water and bathroom access. The portapotties were not sufficient or provided at all existing (now locked) bathrooms. The result was people urinating outside, and often leaving discarded toilet paper in the open. At the normal campground price one expects more from our public campgrounds.

Great place we will go again for sure

Camp hosts were all amazing! Despite the toilets not functioning, they kept the portables extremely clean! The owners of the little store were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Found an awesome waterfall while hiking. Love this place so much.

Bathrooms have become a big issue at Dinkey Creek for the last 4 years if not more. I started noticing bathrooms out of order and this year port a pottys which is very unsanitary. Please fix plumbing issues and if possible add a few more bathrooms

We had a great time. The camp hosts were excellent. As usual there were some loud people after 10 pm. I told him and he came by every night to tell them it was quiet time.I wish I could remember his name. He stays at the campsite B12.

Great campground in a spectacular setting. The cold water ponds and slides are a rare treat during the summer heat.

It's a big campground with lots of people on a weekend. It never felt crowded though. The swimming in the campground areas is really fun and there's lots to do nearby. The Dinkey Creek general store outside the campground is convenient for anything you might have forgotten. Bring lots of water, the spigots in the campground are all non-potable.

We were in loop g spot 85 and its a fantastic spot but we were not informed prior to our reservation that the bathrooms were closed. A heads up in the 3-4 emails you receive about your reservation leading up to your stay would have been very helpful. Also the people staying in 84 were so inconsiderate and basically camped on top of us. They had way more people than allowed and they would walk through our campsite at all hours of the day & night. My family has been coming here for 10 years & weve never had anything like this happen before. Its a tradition for our family to come to Dinkey every year but after this experience we are rethinking our camping plans.

On this visit, flush toilets and bathrooms with sinks were not available, but were replaced by portable toilets, which the staff tried to keep clean throughout the day. Also, no potable water was available near campsites. Occasionally, the store had drinking water for sale, but it sold out quickly.

I've grown up going to Dinkey since I was very small and it is a beautiful magical place that will always be in my heart. The staff were wonderful and I appreciate the efforts that are taken to protect the forest and maintain the area. The restroom situation was unfortunate, I hope we get plenty of snow this winter!

Great place to camp with the family! When we visited, the restrooms were closed, but there were porta-potties at each campsite. They were somewhat maintained, though the camp host rarely came around to clean them, so I didnt feel comfortable letting my child use themthat was the only downside.Other than that, it was an overall great camping experience. The water was beautiful, and the fishing was great too!

Campground was quiet and beautiful. However, sites were over grown leaving no room for tents. Although the website said there were flushing toilets, there are not.

Dinkey Creek is a beautiful and relaxing spot, perfect for spending quality time with family and friends. We've visited twice and really enjoy the area. Five stars for the location itself. However, deducting two stars due to the bathroom and shower facilities being out of service during our stay, and we werent notified in advanceno email or phone callwhich was disappointing. The issue, a broken water pipeline, had been ongoing and was still not resolved when we visited over the July 4th weekend. Just a heads-up for future visitors to check ahead on facility status.

Beautiful well maintained campsite, right next to a restroom which is a plus for me. Also within walking distance to the creek, swimming pools and rock slides. The road to get to the campsite is filled with meadows of lilacs & other wild flowers! Will definitely be back with my family!

Despite the fire and evacuation, which were controlled within a couple of hours, we were allowed to enter the grounds and camp. We had a very enjoyable and peaceful weekend.

The sceneries are beautiful, campground was nice and peaceful, and restrooms were very clean. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back.

We have been coming to Dinkey Creek for over 30 years. And it just seems lately that every year things get a little worse. This is not the first time that the water and flush toilets have been shut down. I wish either recreation.gov or Dinkey campground would notify the people that have reservations That things have shut down and they should be aware of before traveling all the way up to Dinkey. Its getting quite expensive to camp at Dinkey with fewer and fewer services available again. This was not the first time this has happened to us. I think they need to spend some money and update their plumbing system. I understand they receive water from a spring And that the spring was not able to keep up with demand. They said they were shutting the water down so that they would have water to fight fires, but when the firefighters came to put out a fire, they were using the creek water to battle the fire. I guess the bottom line for me is it would be nice to know in advance before going to Dinkey, that certain amenities and utilities, are being shut down.

#64 worked out for us but I can see it being an issue for others. Drive way is not very big and is parellel to the main driving loop so youre somewhat forced to park more on the dirt area even though policy requires you to be on the paved path. The site is on a slope so be warned. There's 2 relatively flat areas at the top of the slope and 2 at the bottom where you can setup a tent. The fire ring is positioned really high at the top of the campground because of how the site is on a slope.A lot of the vault restrooms were closed and had portapotties available stationed infront of it. #64 is right next to the camp host so that could be a plus or negative depending on how you view it. Now for the best part of the site which I find to make all the small negatives not matter. #64 is right on the pathway that leads you to the creek. There is a nice swimming hole thats really secluded from everyone else. We brought our fishing poles and small cooler and just relaxed there for majority of the day. 4/5 rating for this site.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
