Place was great. The only bad thing was many of the campers had superbright lighting that was brighter than car headlights. The campground was like a staduim parking at night. Totally ruined the evening experience. These lights must be banned. But there was so much nearby hiking so at least the days were great. Spectacular hiking!!!

Awesome, secluded campground - well worth the drive! Stunning Eagle Lake hike not far - very different Sequoia experience away from the crowds

A great campground with beautiful trees, river sounds playing throughout, and plenty of beautiful hiking nearby. It attracts a more active crowd who gets out on the trails early and returns in late afternoon. The location affords a "near backpacking" experience as you explore during the day, but in the evening you can return to your campsite and have car camping comforts and convenience.

Beautiful, small campground. Bathrooms were very clean. Definitely recommend getting a campsite near the stream for post-hike cold plunges! Note: No one prepared me for the endless and sketchy drive that is Mineral King Road. It took a good 1.5 hours to make it up to the campsite. Be prepared! Review the Alerts/warnings on Rec.gov before making the drive.

This campground is located in the Mineral King area in Sequoia NP, it's accessed by turning off from the main highway before passing the ticket gates in Three Rivers. The road in was mostly a dirt road, higher clearance vehicles are strongly recommended. The journey in on the winding dirt road was quite fun! We heard there's marmots from spring to mid-summer, but we went late enough in the season to avoid marmots being interested in our car. This campsite is right next to a beautiful river, and we were able to fall asleep to sound of the rushing water. The pit toilets were kept well stocked. There's bear-proof trash cans near the pit toilets and each campsite also had a bear box.

Great campsite. Was here labor day weekend, surprisingly not that busy. Was worried about my Chevy Malibu not being able to drive because I was unsure of how the roads were, but I had no issues.

Beautiful area. We just stayed there for the night before heading up to mosquito lake. Would definitely stay longer another day.

The road up to Cold Springs is very difficult. Narrow, winding and steep. Meeting another car coming the other direction is terrifying. But the campground is terrific! Great hiking trails nearby.

So many noisy groups during my time here. There's no staff present, so you're SOL if you're dealing with valley residents blasting polka until midnight. I even moved campsites and couldn't get away from it. I won't return to this campground.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time out here! Site 10 and 11 are really close, so if youre going with some friends, have them get the one you dont reserve. These sites are on a small slope. Our 6 person 10x10 tent barely fit in the allocated tent pad and was still a little too close to the fire pit for my comfort.The campsite is quite a ways out on Mineral King Road and even without active construction, it was quite the curvy drive. I suggest giving yourself an extra half an hour of cushion on top of what you already think the drive will take (for us it was about 2 hours on the way up and 1.5 hours on the way down)The ranger did let us know that the 1 mile hike to the east was the easiest of the trails (its also the trail that leads to the other trail heads) so this campsite is honestly perfect for a chill hiker. That 1 mile hike did have a few steep moments with some puddles and the occasional muddy section, so just be prepared!Overall, Id definitely go again, just maybe without bringing a furry friend along (as they arent allowed on any trails and arent allowed off leash).

Great campsite backing up to the river. We managed to fit two tents but it was tight, not a very level campsite.

Site 2 is located right by the river so all throughout the day and night you could hear the stream run down. The road to the site was under maintenance and was bumpy and narrow at some points, but once you get to the site its beautiful. The chlorination system was down so the water wasnt drinkable without boiling, the restrooms were well maintained and looked to be recently painted, besides the womens restroom door not locking. The trails are easy to access although most of them are strenuous and the park ranger station was located near by. Please bring a tarp to cover the whole under side of your vehicle as there is marmots and enjoy this beautiful site! I would definitely recommend site 2.

We made a reservation just days before it closed for the season in October since campgrounds at Sequoia were full. The campground was nearly empty for our stay. Take note that it will take you over an hour to reach the campground from the entrance to mineral king road but it is a paved road so that is a big plus, only about a mile is unpaved as you reach the top. I would stay here again if I couldnt get in at a Sequoia campground which was my destination. I cant speak for any of the hikes or trails that start out at this campground, I imagine they are great due to the altitude and location.

Site 22 was amazing. Cold springs camp ground as a whole is amazingly beautiful. Definitely recommend sites 22-30 because theyre right next to the water. The drive up to the campsites is very narrow, be prepared for a long and slow drive up the mountain. There are many great hikes walking distance from the campground with beautiful views. Definitely pack for cold weather, the sites are shaded so it gets very cold. Overall, such an amazing trip and worth the drive.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
