Love this campground. Sites were spacious and level on loop E. Very clean and no litter. Cleanest pit toilets I've seen yet. Quite at night and very respectful campers. Bob the campground host was the best! Very accommodating when we wanted to move to another site. Within walking distance to the Colorado Hiking Trail which was a plus. We'll be back.

Close to the many activities in Durango and also the Colorado Trail. Host kept sites and toilets spotless and gave great breakfast restaurant recommendation!

Terrific campground, clean (even carefully raked!) sites, and very helpful campground hosts.

Great campground, sites are far apart and very private.Multiple walking/biking trails that start on the campground.Traveling with a 40'MH+ Toad which made things slower but perfectly fine for big rigs.

Camped in July 25' Loop C site 9. Beautiful large site, well treed. The pad was VERY canted, difficult to level our 25' trailer. The picnic table was far from the pad, 50 to 60 feet away. No level tent spots. Very hot and extremely dusty. Proximity to Durango was good, but rough roads made it an unpleasant ride.

Site number three was excellent and Bob was so kind to help us with our water pump. They added gravel at the campsite was also very nice.

Great campground close to Durango! The road up the mountain was a bit rough when we entered but during our stay they graded it and it was very nice leaving. Great hiking right out of the park. Head of the Colorado trail starts at the park.Park host were great. Site was raked prior to our arrival. We saw them rake every site as folks left. They cleaned the vault toilets like 4 times daily. Bob, one of the host has amazing knowledge of the area and had great info on hikes. Dont miss the drive up the mountain to the Animas basin observation site !!

This is a beautiful campground not too far out of Durango. I had booked months ahead, but they do have some first come, first serve sites. We were surrounded on three sites by vegetation, so the sites are spread out with plenty of room. We did a lot of walking around the CG while visiting, and it was clean and well kept (that includes the bathrooms)! Bob and Carol, the camp hosts that I met, are very friendly and do an amazing job with the upkeep of Junction Creek CG.

Excellent campground! Not too far from downtown. Abundant new bathrooms in each loop.

Excellent spot with lots of trees! Close enough to Durango to experience the city, but far enough into the woods to experience the wonderful San Juans.

This is a gorgeous, back-to-nature campsite. Each site has so much privacy, with all of the trees. The second I pulled into my site I knew it was going to be one of my favorite places to stay.

I had tow vehicle problems and was not able to make the booking. I was not able to contact anyone to let them know about the issues. The phone number on the website was for a management company in California. I left a message to call me back and no one ever called. I ended up calling recreation.gov and was told, if I didn't make the first night at the site, I was out of luck and my booking was cancelled. I did get a partial refund after the person at the recreation.gov website put in a request. I did eventually receive a phone call from the campground host at the site asking if I was still interested in the site. Unfortunately, the phone call from the host was a bit too late. I had already returned home because of the tow vehicle issues. It would have been nice to have some contact number to call where I was able to get a return call or speak to someone at the site.

Bob, the camphost, was probably the best campground host I've experienced in over 20 years for camping. He was super helpful to coordinate with my family the best sites possible and was helpful with any questions we had. The campground itself feels like a pine tree sanctuary -peaceful, quiet, and very clean. Bob and team are amazing at how ordered and clean the campground feels. Probably the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen -and they smelled clean the whole week we were there!. Just an excellent overall experience. Thanks Bob!

Lovely campground that is well taken care of. The bathrooms were super clean.

Generators should be discouraged at this campground. One generator can disturb the peace for many sites because of the way the campground is configured. Our neighbor ran his generator for over 2 hours at a time from 6 pm to 9:30 pm (when we asked him to turn it off) and then again from 6 am - 9 am. Very rude!

Great campground with beautiful views of nature. Bugs and dust are the main difficulties but easy to plan accordingly

This was a fantastic campground for so many reasons. The host was incredibly nice and helpful, the campground gave tons of space between sites and the bathrooms were very very clean. The location of this campground is really close to Durango but also you feel like youre in the middle of the forest. I would highly recommend it

Beautiful campground, plenty of room between spaces. Very clean campsites. Negative would be mosquitos as I am a favorite for them.

Nice, clean campground. The hosts made the rounds every couple of hours and were able to answer questions. Firewood available to purchase. Our site wasnt very level. Check out the photos for a place to put a tent if thats how you camp. Bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Spot was pretty easy to find, even after sunset. It was quiet and we didnt even realize how many others were camped around us until the morning! Bathroom was clean for it being a permanent port-a-potty

Great shaded spots. Bathrooms pretty clean. Cell service spotty. No bear boxes. Convenient to Durango. Some bigger, louder groups in double sites but nothing too crazy. Would definitely come back.

This is one of the most charming campgrounds I've ever been too. Absolutely loved the Ponderosa Pines surrounding the sites and the peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Plenty of space in each campsite. Lots of shade. Just beautiful!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
