An absolutely gorgeous campground just up the hill from Durango. The sites were beautifully cared for with lots of distance between them. It was beautifully set in the pines and was so very quiet. We couldnt have been happier.

Very nice place. The best thing was the campground hosts. They were always around cleaning or raking.

Ive stayed here a couple of times over the last couple of years and it has always been a great experience. Sites and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. I will definitely stay there again

This is a very no-frills woodsy camping experience. The sites had electricity, which was great. The park hosts were very nice and helpful. There are no bath houses, no water hook ups, and no sewer. Not sure about a dumping station. A Beautiful Park All the way around . Very clean.

This campground is a beautiful old growth forest with 70-80 ft. tall pines in most of the camp. Peaceful and clean, including the bathrooms which do not have running water (basically modern outhouses). No wifi. Cell phone service was good. Campsites are spacious and provide a table and a campfire ring and spots for tents. Keep in mind only the "E" loop offers electricity. No sewer and no water at any of the sites. However, running water is usually available close to the latrines (fill up your camper/trailer/RV before you go to your site!). We spent 5 nights there and even though the campsites are rustic, the beautiful forest makes up for the drawbacks! There is a dump station in town across from Walmart at a place that sells trailers and campers. One serious complaint..... while we were there in June 2021(after spring run-off), the 5 mile drive on dirt road to get to the campground was quite unpleasant as they had not graded it for sometime and the washboard effect made a very slow drive back and forth to the campground. We also took a rafting trip with "Mild to Wild Rafting" and had a great time (about 75.00 per person)! The half-day excursion is actually only about two hours on the water....the rest of the time is training and driving back to town (alot of fun!!!). We also highly recommend Durango Hot Springs. They normally charge 30.00 for two hours during the winter months, but in the summer they are very casual and tell you to stay as long as you like. Beautiful views and a variety of different temperature pools, many in the shade. So much to do in Durango.....we will return! :-)
