Choctaw Lake Campground is located in the Tombigbee Ranger District, National Forests in Mississippi (1 hr 33 min south of Tupelo, MS) with an elevation of 538 feet. There are a total of 24 campsites including 1 tent-only site. The campground is open all year. 19 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 55 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 20 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $40.00. Some amenities include boat ramp, swimming. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

This was a beautiful campground near enough to Starkville to visit our son at Mississippi State but far enough away to have a quiet, tranquil space. Everyone there was very nice, including the park host. The only downside was that the bath house was closed for the season but that is expected since it was nearing freezing temperatures for late November. We would definitely check it out again.

Just spent 3 peaceful, relaxing days camped on the lake. Kayaked, hiked and biked around the lake everyday. Came midweek and had my choice of walk in sites, campground was very quiet and well maintained.

It was perfect other than we forgot the lights and there were no lights installed at the pavilion! Beautiful location, very well kept, and very clean. I would definitely book here again

We rented the pavilion for my daughters gender reveal. The scenery was gorgeous and there were a lot of tables. The only things I would change is it needed some house keeping and a sign letting other people know that it was rented. We had strangers trying to come in and sit.

Lot # 17 was really GrEaT! We had a good view of the lake. It was peacefully and relaxing atmosphere. Thankful we camped here for OuR first trip. We did have to be careful with a low tree limb on OuR fifth wheel. We were NoT sure if we should have relocated or NoT.

Was able to forage for firewood and start one up in one of the first-come-first served sites. Didnt use the water or electrical, but it was there if we needed it. Nice picnic table there too. Adequate site for $22 after the processing fee.

Campsite size is NOT as advertised. This site may fit a 24 ft camper max but that would be tight. The picnic table is poorly placed near the center of the site and can NOT be moved. Dont trust the size posted! Luckily there was an available site to move to big enough for our camper.

I was very disappointed with 2 of my days here!! They did a controlled burn left our camp site with horrible smoke for two days !! My husband could not come out to enjoy our company or these wonderful woods and views!! Very sad to say I love this camp ground we usually get to come in the fall, this was our first visit in the spring, very disappointed!!

Everything was in pretty good shape except for the sewer at site 21 and the restroom next door. The sewer was completely stopped up and had been that way for sometime. Also the roads need to be repaired. Hard to walk with all those holes in the road. The host did try to help but it was not a lot he could do.

Some family and friends of mined camped for 3 nights there. We loved it. There was 5 campers in our group. We would have loved to have sewage hook up but we understand the expense of this. One complaint I do have is the lack of lighting in the campground. Walking at night couldn't be done or walking to the bathhouse/restroom required a flashlight. we discussed this and how nice it would have been to have had more lighting.
