Even tho the govt was shut down, somehow all the bathrooms were supplied and clean and we wanted for nothing! Thank you to whoever went above and beyond to make our groups experience wonderful!

We stayed in group site 15 and it was excellent! It's the only site in the campground where you won't see or hear your neighbors. Other sites are nice and not too terribly close together. Site 13 had the quickest river access with a path through the woods right to the beach. Site 15 has a path to the river but it leads straight to the water with a short drop off form the trail. Vault toilet restrooms were clean and good enough. Highly recommend for campers who love to walk the river and hang by the water. I DO NOT recommend taking the gravel road that google maps suggests, unless you have a 4wd vehicle. The paved road by the sutton bluff sign is a longer but a nice drive in.

Camp ground grounds have noticeably declined without a host. Fire pits are full of ash and trash on the regular. No one there to quiet the rowdy crowds past quiet time or even just lack of respect for fellow campers at all times of the day. 50amp outlet is upside down on site 4 making it very awkward to plug in.

Great campground, especially for atv riders. You can access trails from camp. Electricity available at some sites, but no wastewater dump, unfortunately. No camp host, but campers have been well-behaved in my experience.

Like the camp site. Holiday weekend the 4th July. Wasn't as busy as I thought.Everybody was respectful. The shower house and bathrooms really needs some attention they're starting to show their age and they're not as clean as I like. I'm still coming back I like the area for camping and Side by side .

Beautiful area and quiet campground but if you are looking for decent bathrooms/showers, it's not here. Pretty disgusting to be honest.

We have been going to Sutton Bluff for quite a long time and here recently the experience has been horrible. Without a campsite host the place has really went downhill NO supplies in the restrooms, no lights at the restrooms at night the showers are absolutely disgusting. Most of these issues would be resolved if the sites had water and a dump station. I understand the expense of doing this that is why we rely on a clean well maintained facility.

Before leaving, know that the only paved road into the campground is from Centerville. The road from the north is 7.5 miles of rocky, narrow mountain road, not a county maintained type road, so if you come in from the northern side, be prepared for some rough road. This should be more clear on the website directions instead of reading about it here.

This is a great place to camp and ride your ATV. Permits are available at the Sheriff's Office in Centerville. Shower house is available. Unfortunately, no host to provide daily upkeep and manage visitors. I wish there was a dump station for camper wastewater.

We love camping here. Love riding our SxS on all the trails. Unfortunately on this trip we experienced something that was SO WRONG! We pull in the campground and noticed someone was already set up on our site, we booked. We started looking at the tags on the poles and noticed they the people camping on our site, switched tags with the site next to us. Now not having a camp host there wasn't anything we could do but be upset and have words with our neighbor, for the weekend. Or call the sheriff. We chose to not cause anymore trouble and let it be. The place needs a camp host .

On Thursday and Friday August 29 & 30 there was no toilet paper, no paper towels and no hand soap. By Saturday afternoon there was some supplies in the restrooms.Would also like to see some updates like a dump station more places to get water. I believe people would be willing to pay a little more for more amenities . We have been coming here for years and ever since Steve the camp host has left the site has gone down hill.

Cool, small campground. Black River is beautiful. I was concerned that ATV noise might be annoying but it wasn't a problem. No service for ATT. Verizon had 1 bat most of the time.

A pleasant place to camp off season when most of campground is empty. While nice that they were even offered, for a national forest campground, the 2 showers and bathrooms were in dire need of renovation. The vault toilets at other end of campground were clean and relatively odor-free.
@RobertW1226972 · Camped on Oct 15, 2023 at Campsite #11
Generators on all night. Late arrivals ( midnight) were noisy and decided to stay up and party until 3AM. No camp discipline. Rude and disrespectful. Nice isolated sites other than that.

We really enjoyed our stay. So peaceful and quiet for the most part. Campsite #11, definitely will visit again.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
