Suttons Bluff has gone down hill ever since the campground host has left the campground. Electric at the sites has not been working, fire pits have been broken and not cleaned out, the shower house/ restrooms is total disaster no outside lights at night very dangerous someone is going to get hurt no supplies in the restrooms soap, paper towels and toilet paper. The restrooms lights are filled with dead bugs. The womans restroom does not have a handle or lock. With NO DUMP STATION or water at camp sites we rely on having these amenities.

We have been going to Sutton Bluff for quite a long time and here recently the experience has been horrible. Without a campsite host the place has really went downhill NO supplies in the restrooms, no lights at the restrooms at night the showers are absolutely disgusting. Most of these issues would be resolved if the sites had water and a dump station. I understand the expense of doing this that is why we rely on a clean well maintained facility.

The campground was quiet and clean. It's a great place to get away.

We have camped there several times. We have a newer camper this trip and were supposed to stay in site 26. We could NOT back in to our site. We are long time campers and my husband has excellent backup skills. The road was barely as wide as the truck and camper with significant drop offs on both sides. And the roads did not seem well taken care of. My husband ended up with the front of his truck off the road and we ended up with a hole in our camper. We saw the campground was mostly full and did not see any available sites (with water and electric) that were any better to back up in, so we had to leave and drive back home. Since it was just a 2 night stay, we didn’t even cancel the 2nd night after spending 10+ hours driving to/from campsite. We probably will not return to this campground.

We always have a good time at Sutton’s Bluff. The park this year (2022) didn’t have a host but most people were quiet and respectful. There are always those that abuse the toilets and showers by leaving a mess. The Rangers show up every day to check on things. The Black River of course has no faults! Always there, always beautiful, always waiting for you!

This is located in the woods. Be careful Google GPS will try to take you down a gravel road. Don't fall for it if you don't have a 4x4 you cannot make the last 400 feet pulling a trailer of any kind. RV Riggs cannot make the Gravel Road hill either. Don't Get off the Paved Roadway from Lesterville or John Shut-Ins there is a sign after the Wood mill. From Centerville don't let GPS take you down a dirt road on the left just before the White Church. There is a sign on the left side of the road before the wood mill on the right. Excellent campsite. You are 18 miles from Lesterville where there is a gas station.

An excellent out of the way campground. For an april visit with rain and one day of snow, there were only two campers there, but we had an excellent time hiking the trail and walking the river. No cell service, so be prepared.
