We stayed at spot 27 which has electric and water hook up. Was nice and woody! Heavy rains had a lot of the trails closed or under water so couldn't go to many walking/hiking trails. Ticks were everywhere! Campground attendant was nice and pleasure to speak with. Wishing him a speedy recovery to his broken left hand!!! And water lines repaired in a timely manner...Very nice and quiet area away from the busy city sounds and lights!

Curtis the volunteer host was fantastic! Super friendly and willing to help and/or answer questions. The bathrooms were updated and very clean. The showers were separate. Not as clean but the water was nice and hot. This was just for 3 days to relax so we didnt do any activities except to walk the campground. We were in loop B. Beautiful grounds. Love the grassy areas. If you wanted to be more secluded you would want to pick the other loop that is more in the woods.

We had a good time. The site was as expected and the bathroom was clean. I would say in comparison with other sites, this one is not particularly kid friendly. Theres only one play area and no beach access.

The camp hosts are active and visible. The Ranger quickly responded to having two metal spikes near picnic table removed. Clean bathrooms.

First time visiting just to check out the area. Lovely area. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Campbellsville which is only 10 minutes away. Loved the lake and all the access. Stayed in 17a. Site was clean. Not level but definitely not bad. Electric hookup was at the back of the site with water at the front. heads up, there is zero cell service. The sites are a bit tight. Parking is limited to your driveway between the rail road ties. They waited till 9:30PM to inform us we were not parked correctly with our boat. The dumpsters for trash are only at the entrance. The amount of gnats/noseeums is insane. Its very dog friendly. Many dogs were with their people. The bath/shower house is just ok. Definitely seen better.

The electric is not adequate enough to support the campground, when they have several campers on site you will have problems. Just be aware.

We had a wonderful time with family camping at Smith Ridge Campground. We had two sites next to each other, one with 5th wheel and the other with tent. Hosts were very friendly and restrooms and shower house was very clean. We will camp here again. Very peaceful setting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lots of quiet time spent together without everyone being on electronic devices because of no cell service or Wi-Fi.

Smith Ridge Campground is wonderful. Peaceful and more quiet. Just wish it would stay open at least till first week in October because its the best time to camp.

I do not like the fact that there was 3 electric sites left open for rent because they are for 14 day rentals. They sat empty the 5 day I was there. I was stuck taking a nonelectric site, I could have had electric. You need to do away with that. I have been camping at smith's ridge since it opened years ago.

campground attendant was very gracious and helpful. restrooms and showers clean .campground needs more overflow parking or allow water toy trailers to park on the excess grass area on campsites. Park Rangers should police other issues than a trailer or vehicle on the grass .. excess overflow parking is at the check-in, on grass . redundant policy to me. I would gladly pay extra for sewer; nonexistent in this campground.

Sites 45 thru 49 have power problems.These sites will trip your surge protectors when the campground is full and there is a high power demand.Keep in mind on hot holiday weekends.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
