Pikes Ridge Campground in Adair County is located 1 hr 13 min southeast of Elizabethtown, KY with an elevation of 723 feet. There are a total of 60 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 49 and 97 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 20 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $16.00 to $24.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District is transitioning management of Pikes Ridge Campground Recreation Area at Green River Lake for the 2026 recreation season. Effective March 1, 2026, Pikes Ridge Campground Recreation Area will be managed under a lease agreement with Common Capital RE Holdings LLC, with BrightSky Campgrounds overseeing day-to-day operations and reservation services on behalf of the lessee.
USACE remains committed to providing a high-quality recreation experience and maintaining a sustainable recreation program. As part of this effort, the Louisville District is partnering with a local business to manage Pikes Ridge Campground Recreation Area.
Existing reservations will be honored but must be rebooked with the new managing entity. Visitors will need to contact BrightSky Campgrounds and provide their original reservation number to complete the rebooking process. Guests will have until March 9, 2026, at midnight (Eastern Time) to rebook their reservation. After this deadline, reservations that have not been rebooked will no longer be held. Please be sure to check the email account used to make your original reservation on Recreation.gov for additional information.

We had such an amazing camping trip! Mark and his wife are absolutely fantastic hosts. They checked on us daily, always with a smile, making sure we had everything we needed. They even let us know about fun activities like arts and crafts for the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch.The campground itself was perfect clean, peaceful, and well taken care of. It truly felt like a home away from home. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and cant wait to come back!

Beautiful, peaceful campground. We stay at various COE campgrounds, and Pikes Ridge is by far our favorite. The same sentiment as other campers we camp with. The sites are level, the water views are beautiful. The shower house is spacious and clean. Love the wildlife we see every trip.

Pikes Ridge is my favorite place on earth. My family has been coming there for 28 years. It is a great family oriented camp ground. My only suggestion would be for more sites with electric and water or allow QUIET generators 24/7.

Cleanliness was an issue. Fire pits were never cleaned . Saw custodian twice . Both times all that was done was bath house. There were 2 of them but 1 never got off phone that I saw

I have always had a great experience at Pikesridge we have been going there for years and appreciate everything the Corp and Rangers do, I would hate to see the Corp lease the campground private.

The campsites were well maintained. I loved being close to the water. It was nice having trash picked up regularly. The bathrooms and showers were so clean and well stocked. I have never been to a campsite that was so well cared for. Thanks!

We have camped several times at Pikes Ridge. Excellent campground! Have told many friends about Pikes Ridge. The camp staff is awesome! The grounds and bath house is very clean & nice! The portable toilets are very well maintained/cleaned as well! Night security is great! We will be back for many campings!!

The road getting to Pike's Ridge while recently resurfaced is a bit narrow. Passing when one big camper passes a large boat or another camper is a bit tenuous.The campground experience is 5 stars...no question about it.
