We always have a great time when we stay at Holiday. We stay a couple times a year. The only negative I can think of is that they need more bathrooms. They're pretty far to walk to from a lot of the sites.

Nice campground with large sites. Many are not level and several could use some upgrades. Beautiful, though with many sites on the water. Wouldcertainly return.

Holiday Campground is an excellent and many sites are on the water and they are spaced apart for some privacy. I highly recommend this campground.

Lovely wooded area with large campsites, fire ring and patio. Very quiet and no ambient light to ruin star gazing. There were a lot of other campers but there was no loud music or noise coming from other sites, even the ones with young children. The campsites are well spaced for privacy.

Very nice campsites included plenty of room for an extra-large dog pen, privacy if you want it and gorgeous views of Lake West Point. The volunteer hosts were very knowledgeable and friendly while keeping things in line. The entire facility was well maintained with clean campsites and restrooms. We have already scheduled a weekend for next month!A&J Woodbury, GA

Great location for me, 2hr outside Atlanta. View was excellent. Not crowded on weekdays. Clean sites. The bathrooms, though showing age, were fully functional, clean and stocked ad hot water. For better or worse, cell service was good and antennae reception for tv was adequate. A tennis court was available with a new net for any number of games, though the court was well past 'used by' date. Another area has a rustic swing set, yet another had the a basketball court ready to use. Plenty of ramps for boats all over the park. Site 4 was very flat and had plenty of adjacent extra green space and extra parking directly behind.

We absolutely love West Point Lake. ALL of the campgrounds are very nice and well maintained - there is a need for the parking lot lines to be restriped. We appreciated the friendliness of the Gate Staff at Holiday. SITE #106 and all of the Sites that are on that particular knob at Holiday needs to be considered carefully if a camper is looking for privacy as they are not private whatsoever and too close together. This would be a perfect location for a large family or large group of friends who are camping together but not for single RV's and campers - no privacy and the smoke from sites flows easily and directly into the neighbors Site which is awkward and can be annoying for those who do not care for the firepit experience.

The only negative I found was no garbage containers in mens restrooms, only in shower houses.
@MichaelH990269 · Camped on Jul 24, 2024 at Campsite #75
Too many ants around and falling out of trees. Getting all inside camper and causing problems even with spraying.

We love camping at West Point. We love how Holiday has lots of water sites. We also love that we meet nice people and the volunteers are also always super nice. We also love the clean bathrooms.

Very beautiful place, Campsites are amazing, you can step outside to a beautiful lake. One of my top 10. Wish I could have stayed longer and during cooler temperatures.

Camp sites were narrow. Shower house was ok

First experience with this campground and I was impressed. It was quiet, the camp hosts were fair and reasonable, my site was level and clean. I did notice a lot of poison Ivy on the edge of the woods lining my campsite and the roadways. I had two dogs with me so it made it difficult on dog walks. The only other thing that they could improve is updating (adding) directional signs to find your site. Some signs were missing and unless you have experience navigating a campground, it would be and was very difficult to find your site.

It is a lovely campground! I wish we had water access from our campsite (I thought we did from the map, but too many trees and brush), but the campers at 3 and 4 were so nice to let us use a little of their beachy area! The campground itself is beautiful and I would definitely recommend bike riding around the grounds! Also, if you have a boat, get out to the little island and swim around the island, it stays pretty shallow a little ways out, so kiddos are okay to bring!

Very quiet CG, really enjoyed our stay. Water pressure was slightly low (40 psi) but no issues.

Most all sites are either lakefront or lake access and are easy to park in. Easy access to dump stations (there are 2). Plenty of shade, sites well marked. The only negative is the hosts could do better with site cleanup between campers.

We track all the sites so you don't have to.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
