Nice campsites, needs more pea gravel on sites, way to thin. Some driveways need major renovations as they are dangerous with broken lips and drop off to break an ankle or leg

The campground is big and beautiful. But the staff is very rude.

Always a joy to be down at Twin Knobs. Their campsites are super. They are spacious, not on top of each others campsite. Always look forward to our summer trips there, we do at least on week per month.

Stayed 4 nights and it rained the first night and the campsite flooded a small amount but was soaked up within a couple hours. The gravel area wasnt big enough for 1-8 person tent and 1- 4 person tent. The beach was beautiful though but wouldnt let dogs in the beach area and we had a dog so we couldnt swim together. We were in a site where it was difficult to back into. It was a beautiful area though. We walked the summit trail and it was a waste of time with no view at the top. So dont go if its for the view! Had a great time overall though. Will go again!!

Campground was maintained 100x better than it was with the previous management. But they still need to freshen up the gravel on the campsites, they need to cut the brush and weeds away from the sites more. They also need to open up both lanes to traffic at the entrance gate so the people who already have their passes can go on through without waiting in a 45 minute line. Overall the staff is a lot nicer than with previous management.

Many of the campsites need more gravel added and I have made this comment for the last two years, when it rains heavy the sites stay wet much longer and get muddy due to low gravel. Many dead trees hanging over several sites the Forest Service needs to get in there and cut down before they fall on a trailer or a camper!!Need to consider adding electric to all non electric sites many tent campers are now taking up electric sites leaving fewer sites open for RV campers and many of the non-electric sites will accommodate RV's and have very nice views of the lake, I do believe if this was done an increase in profits may be gained here...

The campground overall was kept, clean and sites were nice. Staff was friendly. The trails were fun for teens and adults. My only thing keeping it from being a perfect experience was the beach being open to people besides campers. I was there was just a camping beach. There were some unsavory characters at the beach.

This is a nice site for family groups. The Pavilion is an asset but the roof has many holes and leaks a lot when raining--So bring extra table cloths to protect your food and stuff. The staff are great, really do a great job keeping things clean.

Awesome site, super level , it could use some pea gravel ( very thin ) , short walk to the lake and super shady.

Campground is very shaded with good spacing between sites. Good interior paved roads with good electrical hookups. No water or sewer at any site. However be cautious when on the lake!! Many areas along the shore line or up most coves off the main body of the lake were not clear cut when the dam was built. Now there are many large trees just under water level with no buoys or marking to show where they are. Many boats sustain damage when negotiating certain areas of the lake. Also with no water patrol after 5:00 the jet skis and kayaks are everywhere after sunset. Bow hunters with extremely bright yellow lights on front of their boat will come at you with blinding intensity. Overall this is a beautiful lake but a very heavily used facility especially on weekends! Theft in the area is also a problem. Parking at most boat ramp parking lots can be very disappointing when you come back in to find tires, catalytic converters, gasoline or other items missing from your tow vehicle. We have used this campground since it opened in the 70's and had many great times. However crowding with little law enforcement has now made the area a concern. Rowan county in general may have theft issues!

A24. It is a great spot if you want close to the shower house.

We had a great time, the park is very clean well taken care of. My only complaint is that the vista employees have zero people skills. If you do anything they dont like they will come scream at you instead of just having a conversation. Other than that we had a great time!

Our camp host were exceptionally helpful. We were in J Loop. The bathrooms were very clean . You had an option of a private bathroom with shower. The campground is mostly wooded. Some of the amenities were closed due to lake being level high you might want to check out if that's important to you to be able to go to the beach. That is beyond the campgrounds control. The only issue I had there were campers That had six little barking dogs that could be heard over the entire loop. I think something should've been done about that. It made the experience unpleasant when I was at my campsite and not on the water. But overall it's a great Campground and the crew there are very helpful and very good people to deal with.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
