I always have a good visit to Twin Knobs and this visit was near the end of the season. The camp ground was having Trick or Treat on Saturdays and it was great seeing all the children dressed up. Had a good site A39 and great camp hosts as well. There are a couple of things that I didn't agree with and that being the restrooms being "family" restrooms and there were NO heat in the bath house. Just a little heat would have been nice when it was in the 30-40 degrees several days.

Our site, A loop #34, was large and level. The shower facilities were clean, functional, with plenty of hot water. The grounds throughout the park were amazingly manicured and well maintained. Best of all the staff were all extremely helpful, welcoming, and professional. Look forward to visiting again in the future.

Great place to camp because of the privacy between camp sites.

When we were setting up we noticed sewage coming out of a pipe 20 feet from our site. I reported this to the check in station. He had the camp host cap it off. When we got back we found out the sewage cap was on his site. He had opened it so he could get another flush or two in at his rv. We were prepping our ebikes to ride them and he immediately ran over to tell us we couldn't ride ebikes, which is not what the Federal park law set in 2020 says. So this was probably in retaliation of us complaining about the host dumping raw sewage on our site. It rained that night and this brought out the sewage smell so we left a day early, and requested a refund, that we did not receive. Unbelievable that a camp host is allowed to get away with this behavior. We were at site A39. Avoid this site and any near it.

the site A039 needs additional gravel to even out the area for RV and the area for picnic table. Currently there is a 4 inch berm created by the gravel higher in the area for RV and the concrete divider creates a trip hazard or an ankle turn waiting to happen. The water fixture has a leak. We are not a fan of the tall fire rings. With all of that said, the site was clean the table new. The hosts were on their game. The earlier stated criticisms are added to improve site not to be critical. Enrty personnel were polite and helpful. We had a wonderful time.

I always enjoy my trips to Twin Knobs at Cave Run Lake, Morehead, KY. This year the host decided to decorate their loops and they look great. The only thing I didn't like was they have closed down several loops and you can NOT camping for the last weekend of this month. These loops should have been left open for the ones that want to get that last weekend of camping in before the winter. I am looking forward to March to start back to camping again.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
