Lovely sites but with the new paving on the road the drop off on the edges made for a tricky parking job. We were in the A loop. Also, might want to trim some of the foliage around the A loop sign. We missed it on our drive in. Hopefully whatever the issue is with the dump station will get resolved so both lanes are open.

We stayed on A7 with electric hookups. The closest water was about 100 ft. or so away. The site was easy to back into and it was pretty level. We had room for my 37 ft. RV and a truck parked in front. There is some additional parking just up from the site. There is a trail down to the lake just beside this site. We parked our boat in the bay behind A loop, so it was an easy walk down to the boat. The new group, Vista, has made some improvements at the campground. The dump station had new hoses and a little better set up than last year. The forest service is doing some blacktopping in the campground to make improvements. The trails have been cut back and cleaned up. I'm hoping that when we get a new ranger for this district that he or she will be more aware of what needs to be done for the Daniel Boone National Forest.

All the people, Andy, Patsy, Robert, Sandy, Dennis and others treat us like family and we do them too. We call it coming home. We enjoy the privacy of A loop and spent time there every month. The staff does a great job keeping things clean and taken care of. See you next year! Karl and Claudia

Twin knobs was a gorgeous campground and had impeccably clean campsites. All campsites were perfectly level, clean of any trash or debris, and had a large firepit, picnic tables, and several places to hang a lantern. Awesome gampground!

The campground was super clean and well cared for. The folks at the front office were friendly and helpful. This campground is a real national treasure. I only wish it was open later in the year.
