Location was easy to find. Bathrooms were clean and easy walk to site. The site itself, Oak Grove site #3 had a lot of red ants near the fire pit, table, etc. May just be because its hot, etc.

Toilet tissue gone in all 4 bathrooms on Thursday night-1st day we got there.Red ants were completely invasive!!! We tried different products we brought, but nothing worked. It became very difficult. My 20 pound Chihuahua terrier mix got stung really bad in his paw pad and it was the worst experience ever.!!!!!!!! He was yelping in so much pain and It was overwhelming!! Horrible!! The picture also lied about the shade being so awesome there when it was very erratic and not good-The fire pit was filled to the top with Ash. It was almost impossible to have a fire which we look forward to the most. We will not be back.!!!!!!

Camp host is great, the campground is clean as well as the toilets, theres a real close hiking trail that takes up to palomar mountain, the campsite is practically the trail headVery dog friendly, loved seeing everyone with their dogs and my dog had a blastWill return but probably closer to the not so hot monthsThanks again to the camp host who was really accommodating

Really nice campsite. We got lucky and had a site (#39) that had some shade, was set back a bit from the road, and was on the interior (so we didnt feel like we were on the neighbors lawns). In general, the sites further back from the entrance and toward the middle seemed a bit better than the others. Our site was roomy and could have easily accommodated 4 large tents. There were some fire ants, but they seemed to be at all of the sites, and we didnt have any problems with them.

Lots of bugs (got covered in mosquito bites.) Most campgrounds shady. 32 was decent although sunny during day. Bathrooms right across (out of view) were typical camping bathrooms, albeit crusty.

Facilities were clean. Campsite was good however there is an ant colony and there were thousands of red ants right where the tent would go. Some neighbors were a nuisance because they did not follow quiet times, had bright lights on all night and their dogs were not kept on leashes. Not the fault of the campground.

We enjoyed the spacious camp site and the little area across the highway that led us to an unexpected firehose swing. Also a little walking trail. We didn't get far before we got hungry and had to go to the bathroom HAHA (traveling with kids) What I wished we knew - BRING - Tarp, Easy up and plenty of warm blankets. We camped in May and it was hot and cold. There are some burs or pokey stuff if you setup under the trees. Recommend bringing a thick tarp to go under the tent. We also weren't prepared for the high heat during the day and got very cold at night. Bring an easy-up for increased shade & extra blankets at night. Our sleeping bags were not enough. Faces were quite cold all night! Decent campsite, fire ring, picnic table and water/bathrooms nearby. Our site backed up to a turkey farm. No trouble with any noise there. 4out of 5

I came mid May and the weather was between sunny and cloudy most of our stay. Site 59 was so close to Site 60 that we didn't know where one started and the other ended. Worst of all the campground has a horrible fire ant problem. My dog was bitten and many neighbors had the same problem. The camp host was very unhelpful and the staff at the store down the road said they hear about this problem OFTEN. I will not be coming back and would not recommend to anyone.

Very clean and well maintained campground. The sites each had a firepit, picnic table, and a grill. Super nice hikes nearby!

it is simple and a good amount of space. I like it has no hook up so there is not much of big RV. restroom is clean and well-maintain. there is no shower hopefully there will be one later

Nice and quiet campground, not a lot of other campers even on a Saturday night. Only things to note was this campsite was right up against the neighboring farm and smelled as such. Also no real grill for the camp fire, so bring a camping stove or charcoal to be able to cook

Beautiful area. Our sites were large and clean, with lots of shade. The freshwater spigots were standard threaded hose bibs, so we could fill our holding tank. We'll be back!

Oak Grove was quiet, not too busy in January and is dog friendly. I enjoyed taking the oak grove trail which is just across the street, it is a beautiful and also a steep hike. Totally worth it, even though I only made it half way!I stayed in spot 061, it was a very easy walk to to the hiking trails and easy to drive out as it is right near the exit. Not every camp site is made equally, some were very well hidden and others are right along the driving path. I may try for different camp spots for the privacy and less chance of my dog being close to the road when people are driving out.Overall, great area, nice host and generally calm area. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty, water access was available and at multiple areas, no firewood available during this time, which was fine as I brought my own. It was very nice how very site had its own fire pit, grill and picnic table.Surrounding brush contains cactus and spikey plants, watch out for this with your dogs and kids. I got pricked while setting up my tent, but it was fine after that. Coyotes are prevalent in this area, keep your small pets close and keep them close, leashed and in sight.

The site was clean, well maintained, and we weren't right next to our next-door neighbours. The facilities are basic but clean and functional. The site is close to some great hiking. What more could we ask for?

I always enjoy this campground. Great native plants and critters to observe. This time I even got a nice welcome from the camp host and his dog. They were working right by my favorite site.

I really enjoyed the layout of spot. There was only one way in and one way out. It was surrounded by vegetation on all sides which gave us the feeling of security and privacy. The spot is a little small so large tents is not recommended. Ive booked at this campground 3 times and I can say this was a more enjoyable spot than others. The only problem with the campground is that it is really dry and dusty so bring wipes. This site is tucked away between two other sites if we had neighbors they wouldve been extremely close. Fortunately we didnt have neighbors so the experience was extremely peaceful. For those with small dogs and children be aware that packs of coyote frequent the area. Asleep in my tent I was awoke to a pack of howling coyotes that were a lot closer than I was comfortable with. But overall I rate this campsite very highly for the type of campground it is. Would rebook.

There is nothing wrong with the campsite I gave it three stars because of how open it is. There is plenty of space in this spot can fit many and large tents. It was very close to the road and there wasnt much vegetation for privacy. Luckily we didnt have any neighbors during this trip but if well did we wouldnt have had any privacy. There is limited shading at this spot so bring canopys. This area is very dusty, cars, walking and dogs all kicked up dust. Overall there is nothing wrong with this site other than feeling exposed.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
