Driving through some of the campsites looked small and close to the neighbor but I overall enjoyed the campground. I really liked my campsite it was larger than most. The whole campsite was really clean, bathrooms were cleaned and stocked. The camp host was a little rude and said we had a noise complaint but we didnt have any generators, it was midday and half of our group was gone. We also didnt have any neighbors anywhere remotely close to us. That the only issue I had with the place because we kept to ourselves.

The campsite was very easy to find on our own. Site 47 was very spacious - plenty of shaded areas during the day and also large treeless areas that was perfect for stargazing at night. You have neighbors but there is a good distance between the sites. There were lots of red ant hills when we went in mid September. There were 2 picnic tables and a fire pit (wood not included). The restrooms and water station are across the way (1 min walk). We could not find any trail entrances except the one where we had to cross the main street near the campground entrance so we decided to walk around the campground loops instead - still very nice.

Rick, the host, is someone we've seen for many years. He's the best. Oak Grove is fortunate to have him. We had snow, snow and more snow. We've been coming to Oak Grove for decades and have never had snow before. What a great experience!

Went in January so no ants. Very nice and well maintained grounds. Bathrooms were clean and smell free. Watched the Quadrantid Meteor Shower from this location. Skies were reasonably dark 20 miles east of Temecula so it was a good show. Will return.

Got snowed out and couldn't get to the campground. Ended up sleeping in a lower elevation restaurant parking lot instead :-( Always check the weather before heading to the mountains! Hopefully I'll be able to visit the campground sometime in the future.

Great campground. Usually try to visit at least 2x per year. Love that there are cows that visit from the other side of the fence. This was the first time visiting around the new moon and the sky was phenomenal. Fire restrictions have become more strict, so we weren't able to use the campfire, but propane fires were allowed if you come prepared.
