The view was terrific! We definitely would camp here again after going to Sequoia National Park. The lake water seemed clean and clear although we did not do any water activities. My five year old enjoyed watching the bunnies and lizards that were hiding in the rocks by our site. Everyone was friendly from the other campers to the ranger. Each space was clearly marked with the reservation. There shouldnt be any confusion as some had mentioned. I would rate this experience as Excellent, yet there were a few things that could be improved. The restrooms were not open. Portable toilets were available. My son had never been in one, and he was surprised by how clean it was. But it was still not ideal. Our space, although very roomy, was covered with small rocks all over. We brought an air mattress that helped. It would be difficult to sleep with just a mat. There were many spaces next to us that did not have this issue. There was also no coverage on our space. We didnt think this would be a problem when warned in the booking. We were wrong. The sun was brutal. The fixable issues were all minor things versus the amazing view, tranquillity, and proximity to Sequoia National Park. We all enjoyed our experience and would return to Horse Creek.

Campsite was trashed when we arrived:Old cardboard box with firewood, old socks, food rests wrapped in aluminum in the fire pit, potatoes lying around.Mens bathroom closed, replaced by 5 construction toilets. No opportunity to wash up, shower, wash hands.No personnel or check in.Not a great experience, we left a day early.

Horse creek was absolutely beautiful. It made me want to cancel my NP plans and just stay there all day! So serene.

The camp sites were far enough away from each other that noisy neighbors weren't an issue. We saw rabbits and water birds. At 3am we heard some coyotes and some cows (they didnt wake us we just happened to be awake). The ranger said there were rattlesnakes around so be mindful but we didnt see any on our walks. Our campsite had a table with a cover structure which is a great feature. I really enjoyed this site and hope to return

Cute and easy to access campground for families. I was surprised to see so many wildflowers and lush greenery at our site. Campground is very exposed, so you can see everything your neighbors are doing and any car that drives by on the main road. Suitable for families with kids or those who desire more amenities and have more than one car. Many restaurants and cute touristy shops and a couple of gas stations in the area. I went in March and it was unusually warm outside and there were lots of springtime bugs out and about. There was ample toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms. I didn't use the showers, but it looked like they were due for a hose down as it was dingy and had toilet paper saturated on the floor.

Was not being maintained. Someone had setup in our site but were not around to address it with them. Office was closed and the showers were locked. Stayed one of two nights. Avoid if possible.

Views are spectacular. Easy to get to, nicely located just outside of Sequoia. Bathroom with hot shower a plus. A little highway noise at my spot. Fun to have wild turkeys and squirrels in my area.

The campsite was simple and nice for a quick 1 night trip. Did not get to use the restroom facilities so cannot say anything about that but the campsite itself was relatively clean and nice. Would come again.

Checkout your sites before hand. Lots of them have a step down off the pavement. Sometimes it's a BIG step. Not much shade if that's what your looking for.

We were lucky to go before the lake rose up over the site we stayed at. What a great park, views, friendly and helpful rangers, and clean. Stargazing was really good.

I did not feel safe in the campground due to it having several homeless encampments and no host. Sure, Rangers and park maintenance drove through on occasion to attach reservation cards to poles and maintain the trash and toilets, but there was no supervision. The homeless ppl are doing laundry at the water spigot, canvassing the park constantly, driving in circles and picking through the trash. I left my camper to tour Sequoia, but the entire time I was concerned about a break-in and theft. Moreover, non-paying camper's were staying overnight while there were those who paid. To my knowledge, this park is not actively seeking a host.

loved our campsite (1)! the entire campground was well-maintained. the site had a good amount of shade and sun. didn't love that the toilets weren't working. porta-potties were clean, but ran out of toilet paper the day or two after being maintenced, so bring tp close to the Sequoia entrance, which was perfect for us!

It was our first time camping at Horse Creek Campground right off Lake Kaweah. The logistics: You get a parking pass to the rest of the recreation areas on the lake with your camping parking pass. There are showers and restrooms. Only half of the showers were open, but it was not busy in March. The restrooms by loop 60 where we stayed were porta potties, they were clean but ran out of toilet paper often. The highlights: the views were amazing! The frog and cricket sounds were relaxing at night. We saw a deer on the hills in the distance. There were a lot of good fishing spots, were you can try your luck. The road that ran behind the campground was not that busy at night and didnt cause issues at night. The Park Rangers were all so friendly and helpful, we had a really great time.

Cool location! Restroom closest to our camp site was broken down, but the provided porta potties were clean. Definitely not a quite place to tent camp due to RV campers.

Beautiful place and great park rangers who are very helpful and informative. Will be coming back regularly.

The camp site itself was decent. It did have a lot of small trash laying around. We did do a clean up of the site. I was disappointed to find porter potties and the bathrooms closed off. Especially when its advertised to have bathrooms and showers.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
