Nice campsites, but no bear boxes.Beautiful countryside!

3 star only for lack of water on site; possible water main issue. Site was built and maintained by Army Corps of Engineers. Nestled just shy of 3 Rivers, location is ideal for Sequoia NP, made a great resting point after Yosemite and KC NPnearby Slick Rock for R&R. Dont waste your time with pulling trailer in and out of Sequoia, wide open spaces here vs the uphill twisty pull to Potwisha.

We love horse Creek it's a great place to visit The rangers are really nice very informative they always stop and check up on people there's a few of them that actually came back and brought our little girl a souvenir we love that campsite we recommend it to our friends all the time now if people would just tie up their dogs and keep their kids in their own campsite it'd be a lot more funner

I had high expectations, but I have to give it one star. The location is really beautiful such a shame. When we arrived, the toilets and showers were broken and not working, which is a real problem for those staying in tents. The pitch was on a slope, making it impossible to sleep in a tent, and the grill was full of rust with parts falling off, so cooking was impossible. In the end, we had to change campsites.

Horrible campsite nowhere close to advertised! Website claims - "Amenities include flush toilets, showers and a dump station." Bathrooms closed due to 'water failure' but no update to the website to notify users. Looks like the 'failure' has been this way for some time - portable potties setup to block the doors. No staff to be found onsite at night or in the morning as I wanted to cancel my second night stay.

It is inexcusable that you cannot reserve same-day at this campground. There is absolutely no reason for it to be that way. Rangers come by frequently and they are able to check reservations and will ask you to leave because you cant make a same day reservation, yet there are dozens of campsites unoccupied that could be filled, yet you cant reserve same day. Make it make sense. This is a huge wasted opportunity and frustration

While this could be a great campsite with good access to both national park and amenities, we specifically booked a site to have showers and restrooms for the night. We had no prior warning that the showers would be down and only porta pottys put outside. Also, the gates were supposed to be closed for security which was not done. There was clearly someone living out of there car right by our site with trash all over.

Horsecreek was nice . Great views . Level camp spots. But knowone to help us when we showed up loaded with sticker weeds in the camp spots. Moy enough to keep us from enjoying the views

Some of the campsites are not very good from the flooding. Get a lower site. Showers are good.

This was a great campground. The valley was gorgeous, sites spread out nicely -- choose your site carefully, many are not level enough to use with a trailer. Changing sites is painful, Recreation.gov does not give enough control to the local staff to make on-the-fly changes. We stayed here in mid September. After talking to the Ranger, spring stays are out of the question - the campground is underwater from spring run off! :-)

Camped and rushed for four days. Water level low.

The rangers there are always very friendly. We have great time whenever we go. There wasn't any water for the showers or restrooms but it was stated on the website so we came prepared.

Don't even think about taking a shower or going to the bathroom here. Light didn't work although I would've preferred not to see how disgusting those toilets/showers were.

We stayed in site #51, which is a boondock, back in. Leveling was a challenge in our 39'MH but doable. We had a picnic table and fire pit. The view from our site was incredible. We had a pleasant experience with all staff we spoke with. Roads in the park are a little narrow with a few sharp turns which made navigating our rig a bit difficult. Definitely recommend disconnecting the toad at the office. We were able to stream with AT&T, but cell coverage was spotty. Sequoia NP is less than 30 minutes up the road. As with most all COE parks, it was quite clean and well maintained.

Keep in mine I went in March! It has a great view of the lake and mountains! The sunset and sun rise is beautiful also!! There some shade but not much, its walking distance to a water valve and the Restroom are up the hill across from the office(when I went the bathrooms werent working so they had porta potties but they were cleaned ever other day) and theres another bathroom that has showers(theres hot water!) but thats on the other side of the campground if you want to go on adventure you could walk there but be careful because people think the campsite is for day use or first come first serve so they will drive in and leave, if they stay the Park Rangers will tell them to leave and explain the rules. The Park Rangers drive around often to check up on the campground theres a maintenance guy hes pretty cool just dont mess up the campground! But its very peaceful for the most part when I went, Im already going back in a couple of months but at a different campsite got to find my favorite one but so far my number one!!!

Enjoyed our stay here. Campsites are large and spread out. Scenery was beautiful this time of year. Ranger & groundskeeper were friendly & helpful.

Really easy to get too and nice flat service for tent, will definitely go again.

The area looked great. Great ambience. My site was a bit steep to keep my trailer level though. Showers were hot but i had to keep hitting the button in the mens shower every half minute to turn it back on. Besides those inconveniences id definitely go again.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
