Horse Creek Campground is an incredible place to rest and relax for a few days. You are also sitting very close to the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Great value. Bath and shower houses are cleaned daily and were spotless. Plenty of water fill spots throughout the campground.  Double dump station.  All sites offer a great view of the lake.  Some sites are more suited for big rigs than others.  Be sure to carefully review their website before making a selection.

Camp Host Was A Joke. We made reservation 2 weeks ahead. When we got to our spot a family of homeless druggies had it. Went to camp host she just said I will give you another spot. I'm 68 yrs old and like our spot because of the restrooms being close. The host then called the people in charge. She came down and said the same thing the camp host said, but she said we could have our original spot for nothing the next time we came. She said she would be back with a paper stating what she said she would do. Never Saw her again. That homeless family and their 2 kids moved to 2 other location while we were there. The host said they would move from one campground to another in the area. They would remove the reservation card and throw it in the trash.

When we got there, we quickly noticed that the site we had reserved was completely under water. We went back to the office where two amazingly nice men greeted us and found a new site for us to stay. Apparently this happens often in spring, as the snow from the mountains melts. We ended up being able to swim in the lake (very refreshing on hot summer days!) and walk on the street under water which was pretty cool. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the campground is completely open which doesn't give you any privacy. With no trees to block the sounds, you'll hear every little noise at night as though it was right next to your tent. We unfortunately had drunk men talking all night and refusing to whisper so we didn't get to sleep at all. That being said, you can disrespectful people anywhere, so I still recommend this campground.
