Usually a great campground but this trip not so much. The annual trail scramble with Kirby Landing as headquarters had dirt bikes, sxs and 4wheelers ripping thru campsites, up and down the road and all thru the woods. Very noisy and stressful. Rangers shld patrol more during this event.

Unknown to myself and my group, there was an ATV/ORV gathering that took over the ENTIRE campground. None of these wheeled toys are to be INSIDE the campground but they were! From 7am till after 10pm running up and down the roads INSIDE the campground, jumping the asphalt, popping wheelies, revving up their bikes and even small children running up and down the roads. On 2 different occasions during our weekend stay, we informed the event volunteer at the tent of this and his response was "we are leaving today". Well so were we!!! We found thatbto be very unprofessional and a slap in the face! I called the number listed to the campground, no one ever answered. I called the marina, I was informed that they dont have anything to do with the campground. I asked if there was a campground host and I was informed that there is but "not really". She further told me that the campground host is only a camper. So i asked who do i call then. The lady told me that they used to be able to call the sheriff's department but "they wont do anything". Well, i called the sheriff's department. They came out and told me that they cannot do anything and there is never a Park Ranger there so the rules are never enforced. It was so crowded with trailers for these toys that we were not even able to gain access to the dump station and had to dump at home. The day we packed up, someone parked their truck and trailer IN our side and blocked us in and left his truck and trailer there. We had to wait for him to return to ask him to move so we could get out. The day we left (Sun) must have been the main event because the off loading/on loading area right outside the campground was PACKED to the point that people had parked their vehicles and trailer on BOTH sides of the road causing the road to be a 1 lane. We just about had a head on collision with another camper coming in. Stopped at the event tent to tell them and he told us not to come back this time next year because they do it every year.

There was no soap in the restrooms. The light was out in one of the womens showers and the other only had COLD water.

Great stay at Kirby landing. More trash cans are needed. Not all of them are out for the season.

Campsite didn't have small cooking table. It had been removed and never replaced. When I went to dump, the water hoses had leaks so bad the you couldn't use them. I had reported this issue 36 hours before we left, but they had not been repaired. Probable still don't work.

Not blaming the park for the fair rating its people that are lazy about disposing of their gut bucket after cleaning fish and just leaving it sitting out drawing flies for everyone else to enjoy.

We have stayed at this camping area many times. Sites are spacious and bathroom is cleaned regularly. Also local (9 miles) to Glenwood with many good options for dining and recreation.

easy access, then off the beaten for a quiet and safe stay. the cg and bath house are as expected at Corps of Engineers - nice not fancy, good neighbors, great water views. Daisy SP is just down the county road ... and tons of beautiful and fun places to explore are nearby. glad I found this one.

The trash cans need to be moved back to each site. Or maybe need to put a dumpster out there on each camp area. We enjoyed ourselves very much the place is beautiful to look at and enjoy.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
