We had a blast at New Cowhide Cove. Wife and I came with our two grandkids. The campground was clean and peaceful. Camp host was next to us and stopped by to introduce himself to us. Bathrooms were clean and had air conditioning. Swimming area was well marked. We have ATT cell service and didnt get very good service but I have a cell booster which helped. About 8 miles from Crater of Diamonds which we went to. We are from Oklahoma City but I would visit again.

The camp ground host was great. Very helpful, came around a lot. Very good situation here. As a campground overall, there are several things that have changed for the negative from years past. 1.) Why have they removed trash cans from the sites? it appears they have cut the number in half. 2.) It is harder to get campsites because ouitside vendors are using the public corp land to make profits by booking up camp sites and renting out their campers. This is a huge waste of tax dollars because it creates a practice that does not allow regular folks from staying at these campsites. This is shameful at best. 3.) There should be at least a few campsites that are first come first served. At least that gives people a chnace to camp with out the entrepeneurs leasing all the spots. The Corp has sold out to making money the easiest way possible. The Camp Ground host is availiable if help is needed but you never see Rangers anymore. i am guessing the Corp has cut there too?

This was a nice spot at the end of the cove. Nice fishing or swimming hole. It also offered exploratory trails at the end of the cove.The Geese was lovely to watch also.

The showers are lacking. The heads dont spray correctly and the water temperature for October and especially November needs to be warmer

We stayed here while we went to Crater of Diamonds. It one of the most beautiful camp grounds we've ever seen! The water in the lake was crystal clear, just beautiful, the trees were changing color and reflected in the water..gorgeous!

Great view, but site needs smaller more uniform gravel. Hard for an old man like me to walk on.

This was a very nice campground, cleand and quiet. Any site would have captured the beauty of the lake.

Nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the view and watch the geese fly in and land. Only complaint would be how unlevel the site was, had to add 5 inches of blocks to one side to level the camper. Site #48 if you plan to stay here bring plenty of leveling blocks.

All the other campers were considerate and friendly ,campground was clean, it was really hot so the water got a little warm. There were 2 dogs running loose so we had to be super vigilant with our dogs, but overall it was a great camping trip. We will definitely camp there again.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
