Bathrooms were very clean for vault toilets. Smell kept at minimum for June with full campground. Sites were a little close but not as close as other sites I've camped in. Camp host was very friendly and kind.

I'm thankful we decided to go during the week. My wife and I were both talking about what a mess it's going to be over the summer months for campers with only 1 spot to fill up with potable water, which happens to be at the same location as the dump stations. We made a suggestion to a park manager that it may be wise to notify campers prior to heading up to their campsites at Woods Canyon Lake to fill up with water, before arriving at the campground.

Nice clean campground with toilets and water spigots for taking water back for cleaning and washing. Lots of shade and each campground had a fire pit, grill, and table. Lots of room on the sites for a few tents or truck and trailer or RV.

The camp host was very pleasant, and kept the bathrooms really clean. Wow! Also, our campsite was one of the cleanest National Forest ones we have come across so far. We were impressed. The proximity to the lake is great. We were in campsite 11, across feom the bathrooms that dont seem to be shown on the map. BUT, the site backs up to a gradual hill with no other campers on that side. The campground is heavily used on weekends, and some fellow campers don't seem to understand that there might be other people wanting to enjoy nature. We will come back again for a midweek and quieter experience.

Good spot unless it rains. The hill next to it drains through camp site. Filled up the fire pot and made a muddy mess. Hosts were good. They did good with keeping it clean. Friendly too. Still too many dogs. Sounded like an animal shelter. Only saw "2" people who picked up their poop. Most dogs off leashes around campground and lake trail. Its just a matter of time efore something happens. Maybe I am too good. I like everyone to follow the rules and show some common courtesy. I would revisit same site during dryer times.

Campground host was not very attentive they didn't even check us in. Mary who works for them Mon & toe checked us out the second day & was busy cleaning up the bathrooms & camping spots. She said they don't clean & leave the stuff for her to do when she is filling in. We have camped here before & the spot was nice & we had our own bathroom. I would check out the host as they suck.

The location is great. Close to the lake and a 1/4 walk to the store. The campground does not have paved road or paved parking in campsite. It can get really muddy during a storm. The hosts are friendly and kept the outhouses clean. The "CON" of the campground is dogs. There are a lot of dogs that have irresponsible parents. There were approximately 20 dogs, during my stay, for the 25 campsites. I did not see anyone picking up after their dogs. So, always look where you walk. Also, half of the pooch parents are letting them run. Chasing squirrels and whatever else was running. There was plenty of barking too. I have been camping in this campground for almost 30 years. It is getting bad with the number of dogs and inconsideration from their owners. I love doggies, but I don't love the nuisance from all of this. If the dog population does not bother you, it is great place to bring the kids to be able to hike down to the water and do some fishing or kayaking. It makes it nice that you don't have to drive and find a parking space near the lake.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
