The campground was clean and all services like toilets and water pumps were working great! Campers observed quiet hours, much appreciated! Highly recommend staying here if you're planning to see the rest of Yellowstone.

Mammoth campground is the closest campground to explore the Lamar Valley in the early morning hours. Its proximity to the visitor center and the general store Arabic plus.

A beautiful campground slightly removed from the crowds of Yellowstone, but still easy access to the Mammoth Hot Springs visitor area. The camp hosts were welcoming and made sure everyone knew the camp rules when you sign in. The bathrooms were clean and easy to get to, there were an impressive amount of recycling bins, and the stars at night were some of the best Ive seen. The site I got was clearly meant more for a camper, but the ground was level enough for a tent anyway and I didnt have a problem.

We had been here in June. We picked a site this time with a better view. Day 4 a lot of smoke. Large bear boxes allowed me to easily stow our Weber grill. Well be back.

Caution if booking site 48 - The site is very unlevel front to back! The campground was clean and camp hosts were very kind and helpful. Definitely take the short drive to Gardiner!

The staff was wonderful here and the views were beautiful. It was only a short couple minute drive to an area with a gift shop and a place to grab a bite to eat.

Nice and calm. No dump station
@IanF1647611320 · Camped on Aug 24, 2025 at Campsite #21
Nice paved roads and sites can accommodate 40 ft rigs
@AndrewF3500044 · Camped on Aug 22, 2025 at Campsite #82
Attentive staff, much quieter after the road re-route. Dumpsters make a lot of noise when being used, so avoid sites by them. Hot showers for $5 up at the lodge.

The campground was well maintained, had very friendly staff and is conveniently located near Mammoth Hot Springs. The sites are well spaced and offer easy access to restrooms and water. No more than 5 minutes by car or a 15 minute walk up the trail provides access to hot springs attractions, museums, dining and gift shops.

This was an amazing campground. Nice sites, good facilities, really nice clean bathrooms some of the nicest Ive seen at a campground. Great campground hosts who were very present during our stay. Lovely views and great proximity to the north part of Yellowstone as well.

My family and I spent two nights at the Mammoth Campground in late August, and it was a highlight of our Yellowstone/Grand Teton vacation. The campground is nestled on a slope, surrounded on all sides by mountains, which makes for breathtaking scenery. Even with dry, grassy fields, the evenings were magical as the setting sun cast shadows from the peaks across the campsite.We were very impressed with the facilities. It's reasonably priced, and the flush toilets and numerous water taps were a welcome convenience. The location is also perfect, being just a short distance from the Mammoth village for supplies and the visitor center.We also stayed at Lewis Lake and Lizard Creek, but my wife agreed that Mammoth was the best of the trip for its combination of views, amenities, and accessibility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Five stars

It was gorgeous; we saw a rabbit and herd elk bugling. The view was breathtaking, and the rangers were really nice.

Very handy camp grown for visiting the northern part of the park

I stayed at 4 different campgrounds in Yellowstone, Mammoth was the most basic one, it covered my needs to have a place to set a tent for the night, but it has no showers and no place to rinse dishes. There's also not many trees in the campground so expect little privacy and lots of sun exposure
@THOMASA5851804 · Camped on Aug 17, 2025 at Campsite #26
Relatively private site with afternoon shade. Campground reasonably quiet with access to showers at Mammoth hotel complex.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
