Very nice facilities and amazing views! My only complaint was that the camping pad was up on a fairly steep grade and one of the people in our party has bad knees. So it was difficult for her to get up and down from the tent pad. Otherwise it was a great day.

Peaceful and perfect. We heard and saw elk. The ranger talk was a bonus.

The overall campground was well maintained and clean including the bathroom near our campsite. We were in site #67 which is not level and we were in a Sprinter which was not ideal but we made it work. We even had a bison visit our site when we were preparing dinner one evening!

Got to the campground around 7pm and was greeted by the host (?). Received a map of the campground and instructions on water, bathrooms, trash, and quiet hours. Also showers at the hotel! We found our spot, which had a picnic table, fire ring, and bear box. The tent platform is awesome, and made for easy set up. Had a beautiful view. Easy access to the aforementioned amenities. Nice this is its within walking distance of a general store, the post office, and the hot springs. Really great place to camp

the bathrooms were very nice and the campsites were super clean. The camp itself is in a really nice area close by to the town.

A great site, with good views and a sense of seclusion, yet close enough to Mammoth for convenience.

We had a great time, and enjoyed the Nothern part of the park. The campground was well maintained, and the hosts super helpfull.Just plan for a shower at the Mammoth hotel if you stay more than 2 nights

The park was terrific. We loved being able to camp there, and think its super important to have these public lands and parks! They should be well funded, supported, and open to all.

Beautiful views, friendly staff.

Mammoth is the "desert north" part of the park, a very different experience. BUT the campground captured that unique landscape in stunning vista and nice short hiking trails, perfect for our family's final night in the area. Plenty of elk, no wolves or bears.

Great campground. A bit windy but we loved this campground for our trip to Yellowstone. Our site was pretty close to the bathrooms and had a nice view.

Tent camping was great, very clean. We did not get to shower in the park but there are showers nearby in the town of Gardiner *bring quarters*. I believe it was $5 for 10 minutes, you can also rent a towel and do laundry.
@KacieM50D6E1DB · Camped on Jul 10, 2025 at Campsite #79
The campgrounds was very hot with little shade. The location was good for the north half of the park.
@JessamineADD93 · Camped on Jul 9, 2025 at Campsite #16
The campgrounds were great, well-maintained, and close to the town of Mammoth, which was great to grab an ice cream! A thing to note about our particular site (16) - the tent area was down the hill a bit surrounded by some bushes. We didn't want to walk through bushes in the dark at night, so we opted to pitch our tent in the central area instead. This was all gravel, which meant some of our tent pegs got bent.

Great campground!
@CourtneyP94450 · Camped on Jul 8, 2025 at Campsite #43
Was there in July and it was HOT as there was minimal shade at the site. It was a little noisy early in the morning when you could hear trucks engine braking on the hill above the campground so would recommend bringing ear plugs if in a tent! Hot showers are available for $5 at the hotel up the hill. Overall, it is a good location and we explored Mammoth area, Lamar Valley, and down into the Norris Geyser Basin while staying at this campground.

The campground is in a beautiful location and is well kept. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful place to camp EXCEPT for the lack of a place to wash dishes. "Just rinse the soap off in the bathroom," said the ranger. Many folks washed all their dishes there, which was not totally appropriate, but convenient and about the only way to do a decent wash job, despite the lack of space. Other than that mild inconvenience, it was a great place to pitch a tent and wake up to terrific sunrises.

Great views, wildlife. Clean bathrooms
@TiffaniT790024 · Camped on Jul 4, 2025 at Campsite #77
Campsites are a bit small and close together, but overall this was a good campsite with a nice flat surface for a tent and good views. The bathrooms were nice and clean even on a busy holiday weekend. The campground is very close to Mammoth Hot Springs and amenities on the north side of the park, including Gardiner.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
