Great views, quiet place, easy in and out, able to stay in the park for multiple days of park adventure.

We had a nice dive through site that gave us plenty of room and privacy.

Easy check in and out. There appeared to be some hiking trails nearby. deep spaces but not alot of space between you and your next door neighbor.

Felt on top of the next group over even though I picked an end site. There were also people tented in the vegetation.. when there are distinct tent spots.

Great hosts. Clean bathrooms.

Great experience, as always. Top-notch friendly and helpful campground hosts, clean sites with beautiful views, easy proximity to Gardiner. All the NPS sites at Yellowstone have their own charms, but Mammoth is always my favorite.

The tent bed is nice and flat. The campsite has a nice view. Its very close to a restaurant and grocery store. U can use the showers of the hotel for $5 with no time limitation.

I Reserve site number 18 and probably one of the better sites in the campground. A great view overlooking the valley in the hills.. bathrooms were very clean.AT&T has HOTSPOT had maybe one bar pretty much worthless Verizon wireless have up to four bars and pretty consistent

Beautiful views, peaceful, in the middle of nature. Not too big, clean bathrooms, loved the fire pit. We were warmly welcomed by an adorable couple of volunteers!

Site 57 was great. Nothing is totally private but this gave us some sense of privacy in a crowded campground. Enough space to park off the roadway and decent distance away from restrooms. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay. Near the visitor center. Clean and quiet.
@BradC8878086 · Camped on May 24, 2025
The campground was great. The sites are long pull throughs that make it easy for larger trailers. The worst part of the whole experience was the process of getting a reservation at this campground. The web site says it is on a 6 month rolling basis but that is not really true. I was then told a specific date that spots would be released and that turned out to also not be true. I was then told they will be released 14 days in advance. I was lucky to get a spot. The reservation system was very frustrating.
@JoeH9727393 · Camped on May 23, 2025 at Campsite #69
No showers available. No wash room or dishwashing facilities. People cleaned their dishes in the bathroom sinks and left their mess. Restrooms need to be cleaned better. Park cops were called due to a domestic disturbance a few sites over. Site was level with access to potable water close by.

Excellent

Mammoth opens for early season and I stayed for 3 nights. Overall, its a great stay for early season. The view is fantastic, and campsite quiet. Although, location wise its a bit of driving especially when there is traffic

It is a real nice campground everywhere. The hosts are so kind and solve me many puzzles. This is the first time when I slept 9.5 hours in campground because the place make me feel so safe.
@GaryT6790939 · Camped on May 21, 2025 at Campsite #50
Thank you. Only wish the Elk were in the campgrounds. I know it would not have safe for us being that they were calving.

Camp Host and site were excellent
@DuaneH7204084 · Camped on May 20, 2025 at Campsite #73
Was lucky to get a site that day. Lots of empty sites but only two people had canceled there reservation. Nice sites and wish there were more available more sites.
@WILLIAMM503355 · Camped on May 19, 2025 at Campsite #34
Spent innumerable nights at Mammoth, a special spot.
@MarioEA0A3FE92 · Camped on May 18, 2025 at Campsite #67
The campground is fine but the spots 66 and 67 are in a really step incline. It is impossible to level a camper which is quite bothersome.
@HenryS47638832 · Camped on May 18, 2025 at Campsite #40
I love camping at Mammoth. It is clean. The bathrooms are spotless. You're close to Lamar Valley, which is my favorite spot. I also love driving out to Chico Hot Springs for a soak and a meal after a hard day of looking for bears, moose, and wolves. I love being close to Mammoth Hot Springs for lunch and dinner. All in all, Mammoth is as good a campground as there is.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
