Campground is great and within a short drive to Vail and Lionshead for additional activities. Site 24 is a little tight if you have a large group, but the campground overall is extremely private and peaceful. We thought you'd be able to hear I-70 but not at all!

Very much appreciated the tent pad with material that was easy to pound in tent stakes. Most FS campgrounds don't have tent pads, or sometimes the tent material is compacted gravel that is not easy to drive in stakes.

I enjoyed the campgrounds cleanliness and access to Vail Village. I will stay here again.

A wonderful campsite right next to the creeksleeping to the sound of the water was incredibly enjoyable.The host was very welcoming and amazing.Unfortunately, campfires were not allowed.But overall, the place is beautiful and well-kept, located right by the river, especially sites #10 and #11, along with some other spots deeper into the forest.The restrooms were spotless and sparkling clean.Its less than a 10-minute drive to Vail, and you can reach many places within a maximum of 30 minutes.

The site was clean and quiet. There are lots of hiking and walking trails close to and around the campsite and river. There's also a Large trail parking lot a few minutes up the road. Great for parking aftet checkout. The campsite is also at the starting point of one of the best biking trails around. I rode my bike from here to Breckenridge, a 64 mile round trip. All paved and incredibly well maintained with great signage. I was on an e-bike which is recommended as you do pass through Vail pass.

This campground is really a pretty place. Lots of shade and a creek running right next to it. The camp post when I was there was very pleasant and helped me find a great spot. About 5 miles from Vail, its very convenient and close to everything in the area.

Outstanding campground. Feels remote but close to Vail and many trails and outdoor activities. Bathrooms spotlessly clean! Kudos to the camp hosts!

My wife and I read the stage 2 fire restrictions before visiting Gore Creek, both for Eagle County and on the Gore Creek Campground website. The restrictions detail that liquid/gas devices, with an on/off switch or dial, are allowed. We ran our propane fire pit the first evening and had the campground host come around and tell us that it was not allowed. We mentioned the websites and he responded with "oh really..."....he had not understood that. The next morning, I asked a more knowledgeable couple who were hosts for the day about our fire pit. She responded with "They are fine, sorry you had that happen. Go ahead and enjoy it." So we ran our fire pit the next evening and had an angry "volunteer" come into our site concerned about our fire pit. This dampened our experience and made us feel like criminals when we were operating within the rules. Would be nice if Gore Creek posted the Stage 2 rules on the physical sign at the entrance to the campground,

Shanti keeps a very clean bathroom! This is our favorite campground. Thank you.

My tent site was beautiful and private, pit toilets pristine. The only thing to be aware of is that the noise from I-70 is deafening, all night long. If I had thought to bring noise canceling headphones it would have been a 5 star experience.

Campsites are OK. Needed to level our class C. If you have bikes the ride into Vail Village was great. Some hills, but no problem since we had electric bikes. Gore creek was not easy to fish, lots of rocks,

The date for camp site i booked was said only available 6 monthe prior so i logged in at the exact time it said for 6 months and there was only ever walk in sites this campground ground never had any drive in sites you have campers camping free in the parking lot of the walk in sites so there is no room to park if you get a walk in site and lots of locals using the place as a homeless car camp when there is a rest area 8 miles down the road ! Not the best amenity's no running water I give this place a solid 4/10 due to the over use and no amenitys ! I pay Colorado state 30 bucks I get a shower and water !!!! Even if they use solar ! And I have to pay for a shower were not walking into camps either !

We reserved site 12, which is beautiful, backs right to the river and is shaded. We have a 24 foot travel trailer, and a RAM truck and have been all over the country with it. Our tires on the RAM are a bit worn, they are all seasons. We recommend anyone in this site have truck tires with very good traction - and very good tread. We could not back in to the site - our breaks were smoking and tires spinning. The Host was wonderful - he came by, saw our problem and moved us to another site open for one night. He was great. Campground is clean, close to Vail. But most of the sites are pretty tight for a 24 foot travel trailer. You really need to drive through and find the handful that work, there are large rocks, sharp corners to avoid around trees. And soft soil.

I stay here often, and this year the bathrooms are exceptionally clean, and trash taken care of. I am so appreciative!

The campground is in a beautiful setting of trees and the creek but has no water, wood for fires and you get noise from the highway.

What a wonderful little spot by the creek! It was quiet, and the restrooms were spotless and everyone was really respectful of the grounds.

Loved our site- site 12. Right on the creek. You can hear the highway from this campground, but not from the sites on the river like ours. Very quiet campground, nice camp host. Fun to be near Vail! Pretty campsite!

It is a beautiful little campground. The pit toilets were some of the cleanest I have ever experienced. The hand sanitizer and trash bag were especially welcome touches!

My reserved campsite (#12) had been given to someone without a reservation. When I arrived at 4:00 pm, a camper was on the site but they were away. The host refunded my reservation payment in cash and apologized. So I left and cant recommend this campground.

I love this campground and have stayed several times. I was surprised, however, that there was no water available! We asked the campground host and he confirmed this. Thankfully, the campground is right along a creek, so we were able to fill up jugs with water from the creek to put out our campfire. Bring your own water for drinking and cooking!

Beautiful campground. Especially if you can get next to the creek. Can access bike trails from the campground.

Our family loves staying here, this was our second year camping during the Vail GoPro Mountain Games. It's close enough to the event to experience all the event has to offer but far enough away from Vail and i70 that it still feels relaxed and secluded.

The bathrooms were very well-kept. The site was clean. The site host was friendly.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
