The campground is situated in a great location, offering access to numerous activities. The site we stayed in had a wooden picnic table in complete disrepair, while some adjacent sites had newer metal tables. The site was also advertised as accessible for 30ft Trailers, when our 25ft Trailer barely fit, with no room for our towing vehicle. We took it all in stride and made the best of our visit.

Great stay at Peak One. Easy access to the lake. Helpful camp host.

We have been camping at Peak One for 40 years. This visit was the worst. To flush toilet's were not working so there were porta potties. We were not notified ahead of this problem. Two sites away from the north campground host there were two dogs chained to a tree most of the day with no one at that campsite. The dogs barked most of the day. Not a very good stay.

Its a beautiful setting for a campground, and our site was scenic and clean. We enjoyed our stay. That said, Im guessing the federal staffing cuts were to blame for the poor condition of the bathrooms - the mens bathroom near our site was closed altogether! And it was a long walk to the very hot port-a-pots. Also, the traffic noise - I assume from I-70 - was so loud I could hardly sleep! I live in a very loud, urban neighborhood - but its quieter than Peak One campground! For that reason, I probably wont be back.

Great campground. Well maintained and close to both Frisco and Breckenridge.

Peak One was a fantastic campground for easily accessing lake fun on Lake Dillon. The campground was an easy walk down to the lake with paddle boards and Lake Dillon is a wonderful place to explore. We had 4 children with us who loved going to the various islands that exist there. It made for easy goals for them to reach and fun areas to explore. Another great thing about this camp site is it protected from the wind. While the afternoons tended to be windy on the lake as soon as you left the lake and went back to the campsite the wind was not an issue. We loved this camp ground and will definitely be back!

This is the 5th or 6th time we have stayed at Peak One over the 4th of July, always in a different spot, but we really did like Site 007 in Loop A, The campground is clean, quiet, and the setting right next to the lake is really nice also. There are a lot of bike and walking paths all around. We enjoyed it.

Campsite close to Breckenridge with cell signal. Sites were separated enough that I didnt feel too bad quietly setting up at 9:30 pm.

All sites offer good privacy. Campground was clean and well maintained. All campers were very nice people and considerate of families, small kids, and pets. Access to trails is great. Overall, a very nice experience.

Bathrooms on loop B not working 2nd summer in a row. However, the port-a-pottys work. They kept them clean and emptied. Good presence by the camp host. Could cut the grass around the tables (i'm being picky now)Good place to stay. Not much I70 traffic noise.

It was a wonderful location close to town and the marina and it had a nice path to walk along the lake.

Beautiful sites, quiet, pleasant campground. They only had port-a-johns but they were clean.

Gorgeous as always, but Id forgotten that the bathrooms were closed last year and ports potties in their place.
@RogerB3749935 · Camped on Jun 24, 2025 at Campsite #46
Campsites are gravel and mostly level with nice space between them. Lake level was up so that was nice. Bike path to Frisco and Breckenridge was a big draw for us. Restrooms were out of order so park has porta potties.
@LindaW6181394 · Camped on Jun 23, 2025 at Campsite #69
The restrooms were not functioning in Loop C -porta-potties only. (Not my favorite.) While it was great to visit Silverthorne and Dillon, Breckenridge not so much. Alert-Cliffs bakery on main street , and parking is a pain. Please note paid parking and reservations required at Quandary/McCullough falls (10 miles outside of town) are required and there is no internet service at the parking lot to reserve online! One plus-the Thomas Dambo wood sculpture (Isak Heartstone) is worth a visit!

Great location and amazing views. Lots of trees to separate you and the other campers.

We come here at least once a year. The outhouses are part of the bathroom experience now and well kept. They opened the flush toilets the day before we left but never serviced them with TP or a cleaning from the winter. Happy to just use the outhouses, just please update the website about them!

Beautiful location with gorgeous mountain views. Some spaces are hard to get into for larger campers. The sites are large and there's lots of room for the kids to run around. The bathrooms are not functional but they do have clean porta-potties for use.

They still havent fixed the bathrooms after 2 years. Port potties dont cut it.

I experienced diarrhea I believe from the drinking water at the Peak One designated drinking water. You may wabt to check it for safety.

Nice level and private campsite.

Still no bathrooms, this is the 3rd summer. I would think by now they would be able to fix them?! The portable toilets they have around the campground were at least kept clean and they didn't smell bad. I love being so close to the Peninsula Mountain Bike trails. That's the best part of this campground. Site #52 had fairly easy access to the lake for kayaking as well (there's a path between #51 and #49) but not all the sites do. I did feel like I was invading the privacy of those campsites. Just know that if you camp in one of those site, you'll have a lot of traffic right next to your site. #52 also had some afternoon shade, which was nice and it wasn't too close to any other campsites. A lot of children/families in this campground, so don't expect much peace and quiet.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
