If you ride mountain bikes or paddle SUPs, Peak One campground is the place to be unless you also like decent vault toilets. They have them but they're still closed abut there's lots of clean portapotties. They look nice, not sure why they aren't being maintained. Not a dealbreaker. Proximity to town the Adventure Park can't be beat. Campground neighbors are respectful. Highway noise is a thing. The. highway is not that close but the sound carries across the lake, that was a surprise. I'd still stay there again if I'm in the area.

The bark beetle epidemic several years ago resulted in the removal of many mature trees for safety reasons. The forest is growing back, and some, but not all, campsites have good screening provided by young lodgepole pines. We enjoyed our camping experience.

This site has a row of 4 porta johns right at the end of the driveway right now. The normal bathroom is uphill a little and obscured by trees. The placement of these toilets really affected our experience this time. This site would be better if you could pull farther back into it but because the driveway is so shallow if you are camping with an RV this isn't great. Also - the lake was very low this year so we couldn't utilize the convenience to the cove for our paddle boards. It was just a mud pit and we had to walk quite a ways to find a good spot to launch. Good location in the campground though and if you have dogs it is easy to get them out for walks.

Nice campground. Great location. They just need to get the main bathrooms working: the portapoties were a little gross.

Peak One is one of my favorites. I just wish they'd get the toilets fixed. A weekend of porta potties is not what I call a vacation.

No place better in the summer, great access to Frisco, Vale, Breckenridge etc. for hiking, biking, water sports and food!

Pleasant campground close to Frisco and Breckenridge. Nice views of the surrounding mountains. I used as a base for a hike up Quandary Peak.

Campground was nice, but the campground hosts from the loop next to ours were probably the worst human beings I have ever seen. When anything would go wrong. They would immediately scream. Please do not hire them next year.

The camp host came by and yelled at my kids (ages 15 and 10) because of where our car was parked. My husband and I were on a bike ride. I understand that our car was not parked correctly, but under no circumstances should she yell and scream (Im not exaggerating) at my children who had nothing to do with our parked car.

As someone who is super picky about campgrounds, Peak One is my favorite! The views, the large/private campsites, and the flushing toilets are amazing!

The site was great, loved the view and no problem backing in our 30ft trailer. Missed having working bathrooms but the portapotties were cleaned twice a week and cleaned thoroughly each time.

I have been camping at peak one for over 10 years now and we love the location of this campground. It is by a local bike park where you can bike to and enjoy from your campsite. It is also close to Frisco so you can bike there too. The reservoir is wonderful to paddle board on. However, I have noticed the campground slowly getting run down and in poor condition. Bathrooms have been closed throughout the season, so be aware. porto-johns are everywhere now and and they block the road and add smell to the nearby campsites. the roads are getting really bad and it just seems like this once lovely campground is just not being taken care of. It is very sad for we love camping here so much.

Peak One is a great location close to Frisco , the awesome bike park and Lake Dillon. There are no hook ups but the restroom facilities are well spaced and accessible. Rob and Raylin are great campground hosts and were very helpful on area attractions and assistance with lake access and trailer questions....

Beautiful site right by the lake.

Vault toilets need to be repaired. Expecting a few porta-potties to be adequate for an entire loop of campsites is unreasonable, and frankly disgusting.

We camp five days every July at Peak One. The campground is right on LAKE DILLON (southwest shore), an easy stand up paddle session to the marina. You can rent pontoon boats, paddle boards and peddle boats at the marina. My husband loves to cycle the Perimeter Trail, which is a dirt trail around the lake that he joins just steps from our usual campsite. ( i jog it.) Many people opt to bike around Dillon lake on a concrete and asphalt path. There is a kids adventure park walking distance from the campground. The town of Frisco is just about three minutes. Lots of cute restaurants, boutiques, a great bakery, and great options for bike rentals and excursions. Hiking trails are abundant. Mt Royal is challenging, pretty steep, but worth it. The bathrooms were closed this year and portapotties put in their place. Not sure why. The water level was lower than usual, but still great fun. The views are simply spectacular. Sunsets are amazing. We love Peak One.

The campground is situated in a great location, offering access to numerous activities. The site we stayed in had a wooden picnic table in complete disrepair, while some adjacent sites had newer metal tables. The site was also advertised as accessible for 30ft Trailers, when our 25ft Trailer barely fit, with no room for our towing vehicle. We took it all in stride and made the best of our visit.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
