Had a great time here. Camp hosts were great & very accommodating. Beautiful area!! Many hiking trails to jump on from this campground.

Was notified 2 days before my booking that the campsite was closed to all soft sided tents but that relocation would be provided. Then 24 hrs before my trip was told no relocation was available but refunds were available upon request yet no link or resources for requesting a refund were provided.

The site was nicely maintained and had nice separation from other sites. A trail leaving from the campsite was a nice hike.

Good campground with big spots(on exterior sites)! I have stayed multiple times throughout the years, but this summer it did feel more party than camper vibes. It was also odd that the camp hosts did not seem to comment on anyone who was leaving trash/food/cooking materials out thoughtout the day and night( at least that we could tell based on what we saw throughout our stay). Especially with the current ban in place now of no tents after a bear incident.

Spacious campsite, clean toilets, feels very secluded but yet only a short drive into Aspen.

Friendly staff, immaculate restrooms. This campsite is so great because you are in the heart of the mountains, but just 10 minutes from Aspen! Then best of both worlds. There was no moon out during our stay and the stars were breathtaking. We will definitely be back again!

Lovely spot, excellent staff. Generators should be limited to 8am to 8pm

The campsite I had was very short. I have a small camp trailer and there was barely enough room for the camper and my pickup.Everything else was good.

What a great place to camp. We were able to do a lot of day hiking from this location and go into town for meals, provisions, internet, etc...

The campground was pretty expensive for not having amenities like flush toilets and showers, but it was the closest to Aspen. The site itself was spacious but the tent area wasnt totally flat; there were roots and rocks that made it awkward to position the tent and sleeping. The campground was lovely and very close to the Difficult Trail. I would camp here again.

Campground was well situated for activities either up in the pass or in Aspen. Experience with the camp hosts was poor due to the fact they were never there. Over the course of our three day stay we tried on numerous occasions to find them at their site or elsewhere without success.

Nice sites with great privacy. Close to Aspen, 10 minutes away, Independence Pass summit about 15-20 minutes away. Vault toilet bathrooms cleaned daily. Quiet location. Enjoyed the stay.

We love coming to Difficult Campground for an easy get away just outside of Aspen! The sites are always clean and ready for the next camper. Our favorite is the group site because it's tucked away along the Roaring Fork river, so we can have a good size group and not worry about being too loud.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds! The bathrooms were really clean. Thank you, camp hosts!

This campground is kept very clean. We were in site 5 & we did have some road noise, but it wasnt horrible. The sites are mostly private & wooded. The entire campground is quite pretty. The toilets were clean & not smelly. The best thing about this place is its proximity to Aspen!

I like this campground and have been coming here for many years. A nice spot with a few challenges such as it is not very private and lack of signs for hikers can be a big challenge.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
