Nice facilities with roomy camp spaces between lots and peaceful lot settings. Bring roll of quarters for shower.

Using recreation.gov to book was quick and easy. The campground is beautiful. We played baseball in the field, and rode our bikes everyday through the campground. There are plenty of activities within an hours drive, and one of them we did this year was the Lost River Gorge, the scenery was beautiful and going through the caves was fun and exciting!

As a tent camper I really don't like the gravel that's been put down in most of the sites. Flat grassy sites are scarce. Bring quarters for the showers.Otherwise a nice campground with the usual minor issues -- noise at night, burning plastic stink from campfires, etc.

The campground is perfectly located and beautiful. Sites are spacious and you arent on top of each other. Some sites (in the meadows) have excellent views of a mountain. What drove us nuts, however, was the shower situation. As one might expect with a state park, the showers are old and kinda icky with very low water pressure. And thats pretty typical and to be expected. But what surprised us was the cost! It was $5 for a single shower (using quarters). I could have gotten it done in $4, except the water pressure was so low that it made the shower take longer. And the temp kept fluctuation and there is no way to control the temp - you get whatever comes out. I dont mind paying a state park for a shower, but its usually very cheap. $5 for a single shower that is gross, has very low pressure, and gets hot and cold randomly is really frustrating considering there are no full hookup sites allowing us to use our own shower for a week long stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time camping here! Very close to many hiking trails and the Mt Washington Auto Road.The campground and facilities are very well maintained, but some of the showers could use some more frequent cleaning. The showers closest to the End Loop also have poor water pressure. Our site, #90, was pretty private, but it felt like most of the sites here had little to no privacy. Some were out in the complete open. Just an FYI if privacy is something you desire. I only counted 5-6 sites total that I'd consider private.

We arrived after hours and our reservation sites were nicely marked with the names/dates so we could just pull up and setup. Was very straightforward and easy to use.

Convenient for some serious hiking trails. Campground was quiet as soon as it got dark, before the 10 pm quiet hours. Bathrooms are pretty nice for a campground. The shower I chose was awful, though. There was so much hair all over the wall. The corner for the shower itself so so compact it is almost hard to not brush up against the wall. The shower head is so high it only sprays your back and it is not adjustable. So it was difficult to clean up well. The sites don't offer much privacy; very open. I like what one neighbor did: throw huge tarps over your pop up canopy to create walls.

Overall, the sites were pretty spacious and level. The restrooms were cleaner than just about any park I've been to - THANK YOU to the camp hosts or rangers cleaning them! The showers are quarter-operated and clean as well. I think it was something like $1.50 for 5 minutes. A great home base for exploring the surrounding area.

We had reserved site 149. When we arrived, we saw a postage-size campsite (with electric and water) on a cornertotally unacceptable for our 10X10+ vestibules tent. Why is this site even offered-it should not be an option for anyone!!!We were able to set up on site 138 (First come First serve) and it was a lovely campsite for us. It had electric (which is needed to charge husbands hearing aids/watch every night). Of course, we could use portable power sources but not practical for longer trips. We were near VERY CLEAN restrooms and showers. The campground hosts (two couples) were so nice and very accommodating. There was a miscue when we changed campsites, but both hosts acknowledged that we followed the rules and we were able to make mutually agreeable plan for a new party with a 53 camper trailer when there was a record-keeping error regarding our change of sites. This is a campground that has access to some real good hikes. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We travel nearly fulltime in a Class C Motorhome. We tried to add two days in front of our reservation just days in advance, but recreation.gov would not allow it per the campground which puts all open sites to First Come First Served a few days before. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. on that date 2 days in advance, but it was very difficult finding an appropriate site as you drive around the campground for the first time looking for an available site. It would be much better to allow reservations up to the day of arrival.With that said, we lucked into Site 23 which was a great site with electricity, lots of shade, fairly level, and close to bathrooms - it was among the best sites at the campground. If you haven't been there before, navigating the campground is a bit confusing, but once there it begins to make sense. We hiked up one of the trails from the campground up the mountain a ways before we turned around. Dump station was great, but only one for such a large campground.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
