Overall, the sites were pretty spacious and level. The restrooms were cleaner than just about any park I've been to - THANK YOU to the camp hosts or rangers cleaning them! The showers are quarter-operated and clean as well. I think it was something like $1.50 for 5 minutes. A great home base for exploring the surrounding area.

We had reserved site 149. When we arrived, we saw a postage-size campsite (with electric and water) on a cornertotally unacceptable for our 10X10+ vestibules tent. Why is this site even offered-it should not be an option for anyone!!!We were able to set up on site 138 (First come First serve) and it was a lovely campsite for us. It had electric (which is needed to charge husbands hearing aids/watch every night). Of course, we could use portable power sources but not practical for longer trips. We were near VERY CLEAN restrooms and showers. The campground hosts (two couples) were so nice and very accommodating. There was a miscue when we changed campsites, but both hosts acknowledged that we followed the rules and we were able to make mutually agreeable plan for a new party with a 53 camper trailer when there was a record-keeping error regarding our change of sites. This is a campground that has access to some real good hikes. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We travel nearly fulltime in a Class C Motorhome. We tried to add two days in front of our reservation just days in advance, but recreation.gov would not allow it per the campground which puts all open sites to First Come First Served a few days before. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. on that date 2 days in advance, but it was very difficult finding an appropriate site as you drive around the campground for the first time looking for an available site. It would be much better to allow reservations up to the day of arrival.With that said, we lucked into Site 23 which was a great site with electricity, lots of shade, fairly level, and close to bathrooms - it was among the best sites at the campground. If you haven't been there before, navigating the campground is a bit confusing, but once there it begins to make sense. We hiked up one of the trails from the campground up the mountain a ways before we turned around. Dump station was great, but only one for such a large campground.

We were surprised to be greeted by our new hosts. We have never had hosts so kind and thoughtful. This year the bathrooms and park conditions were excellent, a wonderful surprise after last years poor conditions. The staff this year is excellent and go out of their way to welcome you and help the campers whenever they need it. Campground maps posted at each bathroom are still needed, so many people having trouble finding the showers!

The park was immaculate! The staff was out working in various assignments and more than happy to assist park visitors. Camp hosts were also making the rounds checking on occupants. Very well maintained and dedicated staff

My 14-year-old and I had a wonderful two night stay at Dolly Copp! We did some hiking on the AT, went to the top of My. Washington and enjoyed discovering Gorham a bit. We plan to come back with my husband. The campsite itself was clean and close enough to the restrooms too.

This is in the running for our favorite campground ever! We stayed in the Big Meadow loop on an electric site with a little camper. Spacious sites with clean gravel parking areas, as well as good green space. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate, the best Ive ever seen in a NPS campground. (Except for the night someone carelessly left the bathroom door open and it filled with moths. Shut the door behind you, duh!!) The rangers in the front office were super helpful and friendly with great recommendations for hikes and things to do. Great access to hiking trails nearby and a river in the back of the campground to cool off in. If we lived closer, we would come back every year. This place is truly amazing.

This may be my favorite campground. Bathrooms and showers are always clean, and camp hosts are all friendly. We camp here at least once per year. Proximity to the mountains and the town of Gorham is all I need. I love my daily walks along the Peabody river on the Gulf Link and Great Gulf Connector. This was our first time staying in late June (we usually are there in late September) so it was warm enough to go for a swim in the river.

Been going to this campground for over 20 years now and always enjoy camping there. Knowing the place so well leaves us being wary of any changes and there have been many major changes over the last 6 years or so. Generally speaking, these changes have been absorbed into the grounds delicate environmental needs pretty well. Changes to campground management also had impacted the campground to some extent. Our recent trip was up to usual standards with staff taking care of things extremely well. Cleanliness and grounds maintenance were really good and staff were as friendly as ever. We are camping there again in a few weeks and am sure that we will be as pleased with Dolly Copp as we always have been.

Been going here since we were kids. And now our kids are enjoying it and their kids are introduced now too! Even though much has changed since "way back when", but still great. Sites are not on top of each other with plenty of options. Do wish there was cell service but such is life. Will always be our number one place.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
