I'm a dog lover. Several (3 or more) barking dogs were in the field next to my tent site which was annoying when trying to sleep. Also, I should (and now do) know better than to stay in a campground next to RT 16 when "bike week" starts.Checked out a day early to go home to get some sleep.

Your staff are to be congratulated on the many improvements to the infrastructure of the park that still maintained the feel and sightlines of the park which I have had the pleasure of visiting since the 1950s with my parents and now with my grandkids. The new bathrooms are very nice and easily accessible with wheelchairs. The new showers are nice as well and more convenient than going to Pinkham Notch for a shower. I fully support charging for the showers as a way of recovering costs. I do miss the many evening programs that used to be held in the administrative building that included movies, dances, and plays put on by campers but appreciate that they might increase costs. The frequent hootenannies held throughout the park by musically inclined campers were also a nice touch. I was concerned about the low flow in the river which may be because of drought and the signs of stress in many of the trees along the main roadway. This could be drought, ongoing acid precipitation or some other factors. Again, well done on the renovations. I will be back.
