The toilets (pit not flush) were functional but a little stinky. There was no shade at our sight. It was very hot during the day. The lake was nice but the boat launch needed cleaned out because there is a sand bar as you enter.

Only stayed here one night, we lucked out with our site as we had a lot of privacy. Only got to enjoy the lake for a few moments before moving on but people were swimming and having fun. Park appeared to be clean, which is always nice to see.

Very nice and peaceful camping, good biking but would recommend a e-bike as some of the hills are a pretty steep grade.Only complaint would be the utility trucks that were coming through at well over posted speed limits while we were there.

We stayed at camp site 31, and upon arriving there was a riding lawn mower plugged in, occupying our space. The camp seemed to be home to many people who "live" there, so as someone visiting, we felt very "watched" and out of place. One of the reasons we chose this camp was due to the lake, and its beach, however the beach was closed due to high levels of e coli, so our kids couldn't swim - though we were not notified anywhere before hand. Despite the e coli in the water, we were still about to rent a kayak and tried to enjoy the lake, as well as take advantage of the hiking and fishing that was available. While we made the best of our weekend, we will not be returning to this campground.

We had an enjoyable 2 weeks at Lake Vesuvius. Our visit mainly for rest and relaxation. It was quiet and very pleasant. We had a couple of days of rain, but we stayed in the camper and watched movies on those days. The weather ranged from 23 degrees to 88 degrees while we were there. We did a lot of walking with our dog, Macy. All in all, it was a great 2 weeks!

The electric was off due to a storm. It was supposed to be back on the first day there We went home to stay the night and went back waiting on electricity. The next day no power the next no power so we took the camper home and skipped the last two nights. I tried to find how I could get a refund but you cant find it on rec.gov website. Very disappointed

We arrived to a clean campground. Found our site and settled in. On Friday the remnants from hurricane made its way thru. Campground lost power. Tree debris was everywhere. We did not see a host or a Ranger the entire time. We finally gave up on power returning on Sunday. We left a whole day early. Still never saw a host or Ranger. Cleanup of campground had not begun when we left.

Great sites and easy to setup RV. There is a lot to do: multiple hiking trails, great fishing, lake beach, and kayak rentals.

The campground is really nice, but absolutely nothing for kids to do, not even a swing. The places used to be beautiful and well groomed, now its tons of downed trees and so overgrown you almost miss the exit to turn into the park.

Make sure you check out how far away the electric is from your campsite. Mine was so far away it was impractical.
@GraceS8007555 · Camped on May 15, 2024 at Campsite #13
Absolutely beautiful but warning for the tent campers. Most of the sites are stated to be both tent and RV accessible but thats not entirely true. Stick to the site on the inside of the drive circle and youll be grand.

Campground host was awesome. Kept bathrooms clean and grass mowed and was very friendly. Glad they are fixing the walkway to the fishing pier.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
