We were at Site 23. This is a very nice location - at the end of the loop. Lots of room and very quiet, especially if no one is using the pull off site #22. The only reason I am not rating this a 5 star is that the shower house closest to us did not have hot water. The other one did, so it was not much of a problem.The site is a bit of a slope, with the front being high, I had to use an extra block on our rear jacks to get us leveled. But, again it was not too excessive.Very close to the hiking trail from this site.

our stay at campground was very good , campground staff were helpful and courtious , had a power problem that was rectified ,showers were clean could have used a little warmer water .

Only stayed here one night, we lucked out with our site as we had a lot of privacy. Only got to enjoy the lake for a few moments before moving on but people were swimming and having fun. Park appeared to be clean, which is always nice to see.

We had an incidence with termites that swarmed our camper and camping space. We talked to two camp hosts and they alleviated the problem. It occurred in an oak tree on our site. There was a hole in the tree that we know used to be a squirrels home. The ants covered the hole and down the trunk to the ground. We noticed the bugs with white wings at the same time. They swarmed our camping site the next day. When we went to report this incidence, we noticed the termites flying around the camp hosts campers too. The spray took care of the problem and we had no other incidence like this. Now, we also had an issue with the electric box on site 23. The outlets for extension cords DID NOT WORK! We love camping at Oak Hill campground, but please repair the electric boxes. The outlets in the box on site 22 did not work either. I also wanted to mention that the roads leading from the boat docks to the campground are atrocious!! They surveyed the road last year, but did nothing to repair the road in the off season! Come on! Are they waiting for something bad to happen before they address the safety of every camper who travels to Oak Hill? You have many states represented at this campground. Please repair the road to the campground and the electric boxes at the individual sites.

Our trip to Oakhill Campground was very nice. We love site 23….there is so much room at the site and our dog has a 50 foot cable with the ability to roam the entire site. We also love the quiet and the isolation. We have four more trips planned this camping season!
