We loved our stay at Anthony Lakes. The bathrooms were well maintained, sites were clean, host was super helpful and friendly. Its a gorgeous location and next time well bring our kayaks and floaties. I didnt get any bites, since I used bug spray (Deet), but there were some mosquitoes in mid July. The campground was pretty quiet and comfortably cool at night for sleeping.

First time stay at the Anthony Lakes Campground. Spots were fairly private and the area well kept. School was out so there were many families with kids. The lake was nice and pretty quiet for fishing in the early morning, but turned into a loud screaming splash contest later in the afternoon. The camp host was awesome and available, coming around every evening to check on things and offer bundles of firewood or bags of ice, which could be delivered right to our site. The only negative were the bugs. Have never been bitten so many times and right thru clothing. Spray with 40% Deet had no effect at all. Will book later in the year next time for sure...

Such as beautiful place! We stayed in one of the yurts, which was a fun experience. The yurt was rustic, but made our stay feel cozy and convenient. The campground itself was very well maintained. The entire area is so gorgeous, and offers hiking, kayaking, fishing and an overall enjoyable experience. Anthony Lakes is now on our list of favorite places to camp.

Beautiful area, beautiful campground. There are bugs in July, so a net tent to sit under is a good idea. Also wildflowers in July. Trail to Black Lake wonderful.

The yurt was great and the camp host was very helpful! The view of the lake as the sun rose was beautiful. My kids loved the lake, the trails, and the fishing. There are solar-powered (and AA battery powered) lights in the yurt, but we could not get them to work - plan on a non-electric site, as described. The wood stove does keep the yurt nice and warm on chilly mornings. The mosquitoes/deer flies were pretty abundant, so be sure to bring the good insect repellent, or be prepared to be eaten. The pit toilet near the site is a pit toilet and can smell like a true pit toilet - the camp host maintains it daily, at a minimum. We enjoyed almost perfect summer weather for Anthony lakes, while we were here. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and are likely to be back!

We love Anthony Lake because it is so beautiful and peaceful! This is the first time we have gone early in the season (July 1-3), and found the bugs, particularly mosquitoes, to be almost overwhelming! We also experienced a thunderstorm with hail, which was a great test for our tent! Shout out to the REI Wonderland, it held up wonderfully! We will stick to the later summer months in the future!

It's a Bug's Life at Anthony Lakes... it was a very nice campground but we were not able to even enjoy it withall the bugs and mosquitoes! They were relentless ot getting to us and we ended up sitting in the van instead of enjoying a fire on a beautiful day in July.Maybe there are better seasons to go there, like when it is freezing and the bugs can't take it, but not this time.

It's a pretty magical place. No ATVs in the campground so it stays pretty quiet. Sites are secluded in the trees and hikes to lakes are reasonable for kids. Camp Host is the best. Good vibes all around.

I've camped a lot, from a simple tarp to a nice rv.The #8 yurt that was rented was dirty. There were multiple little things that should have been addressed before the next camper arrived. But those little things are minimal to the presence of mold all over the lower portions of the walls of the yurt. Also there was no lock what so ever to secure the door. We had to use a folding chair to secure the door while slept and crossed our fingers when we were away.The site is listed as ADA.If I were a person with disabilities needing a ramp or railing considering renting this I can tell you the railing in my personal opinion is unsafe. The ramp and platform needs addressed. Would I rent this again NO.

The trail to the lake was nice and a brief walk. It was so quiet in the evening. Fish were jumping! No bugs, clean restrooms and lots of hiking behind campsites. The fir trees were breath taking. Would return.

Great hikes and a beautiful lake. The host was terrific. I have ATT and had no cell service at the campground. The fishing is good too.

Anthony Lake is a beauty, the yurt was so nice with the rain while we stayed. We stayed warm with the inside fire. Its close to the restroom and water. The only thing I recommend to others would be bring more cushion for the bed.
@SheilaH4914611 · Camped on Aug 2, 2023 at Campsite #40
Beautiful location. The camp hosts are awesome. Yurt #40 is located near lots of foot traffic. The vault toilet is close and so many people are using it. The yurt has your basics. If you do go stay in this yurt, I highly recommend bringing an air mattress-the bed pads are like sleeping on cement! I think it would be great if they installed a hand railing for the steps. The definite pro is the location to the lake. The cons are the bed pads and it could use a good cleaning and some screens to let fresh air in.

Beautiful area..new to me. Sites felt nicely spread out ( stayed in a teardrop camper) and buffered by the forest. I like the concept of hike-in tent sites. Some restrooms were very clean. Some not so much (and quite stinky). Otherwise campsite was clean. Was unable to verify my reservation with camp host once we arrived....a bit hard to them track down and tag on the site I reserved...made me concerned since it appeared to be a quite busy time.

Pleasant campground. Well maintained. Campsites are short, so unsuitable for large trailers, but perfect for small trailers & tents.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
