Beautiful area..new to me. Sites felt nicely spread out ( stayed in a teardrop camper) and buffered by the forest. I like the concept of hike-in tent sites. Some restrooms were very clean. Some not so much (and quite stinky). Otherwise campsite was clean. Was unable to verify my reservation with camp host once we arrived....a bit hard to them track down and tag on the site I reserved...made me concerned since it appeared to be a quite busy time.

This was a gorgeous, well maintained camp site. Despite being understaffed (we couldn't find the camp host the whole time) - it was still clean and well kept grounds. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean and stocked. The camp site was tucked back in tree for privacy and the tent pad had a nice soft sand/fine gravel to put your tent on. We hadn't realized how cold it would get during this time of year at this elevation, so we were pretty cold at night in our tent and woke up to ice crystals everywhere, but it was a great experience nonetheless. We were one of maybe 3 other groups of people camping at this campground when we went, and we were spread out enough that we barely saw / and didn't even hear anyone else the whole time we were there. At night, we heard packs of coyotes howling at the full moon, and owls hooting. The view of the stars and Milky Way was breathtaking. We felt so immersed in nature and didn't have any noises or distractions from other people. They also had yurts available. Definitely recommend going during off-season!

What a beautiful and peaceful lake. We stayed only one night the first of October, but we'll definitely be back. Basic campground, but very clean and well maintained. Be sure to take the hike up to Hoffer Lakes as well. Less than a mile above Anthony, and worth the hike.
