Absolutely beautiful! The 100+ year old ponderosa pines were a real treat. The camp is beautifully kept and well stocked. The cement pads surrounding the picnic tables and fire rings are a nice luxury. Salt creek running through camp made for a lovely soundscape. Site 19 is small small small. Barely enough room for one 6 man tent. Its set up on a hill so there is no room to expand. One side of camp slopes down the road, the other side is fenced and has a steep slope down to the creek. Access to hop the fence and go down the creek is right next to camp. Its nice to only have campers on one side of you. There is no site on the other side which gave a bit more privacy and solitude. All around lovely camp that me and my kids cant wait to come back to.

Nicely shaded. Right next to the river. Neighbors are really close though.

This is a great campground. Double check the water. It seems to be hit or miss on if their water is working. Other than that the sites are well spread out and shaded. No cell service, but that is a positive in my opinion.

Our stay at The Ponderosa was great! The Host does a great job at keeping the campground so clean! She is so friendly. The only complaint we have is when we reserved our campsite there was no mention about the potable water not being available. It was an inconvenience and I think we shouldnt have been charged the whole price. Such a beautiful campground. We will be going back again.

We have camped at Ponderosa many times and have loved it! But this time they did not have any water and we were not notified ahead of time, we would have liked to have been notified. We had to go back to town to fill up our tank at a gas station.

Nice campground with paved roads and parking spots. The picnic table and fire pit are on a nice concrete patio. Our campsite (#3) overlooks the stream. There are several nice hiking trails is the area, but not right at the campground.

This campground surpassed our expectations in every way. Nestled in a picturesque setting, its prime location allowed us to bask in the warm sunlight during the afternoon while providing ample shaded spots perfect for relaxing during the hotter parts of the day. The balance between bright, sun-drenched areas and incredible, shaded retreats was impeccable, catering to our every need and ensuring a delightful experience throughout our stay.

NO WATER! Our poor camp host told us that she was having trouble with water Repair and was having to go into town to collect water for hand washing at the bathroom and also for cleaning up the bathrooms. She said some repairman came and looked at the part needed for repair of the water supply and left and never came backCamp host was amazing! and very apologetic about the water. She was told it would be fixed in a few days and that was days before we showed up.Campsite was clean and well cared for the bathrooms were amazingly clean

Loved the campground. Excellent host. Stayed in space 14 which was listed as a back in but we ended up driving in facing the river. Its a good spot for a big rig. Ours is 40 ft.

The campground is nice and quite. Hiking and fishing nearby. There are strict quiet times you need to obey by.

Family camping trip with 16 people who need water with no water available when there usually is was exasperating.The host was great and provided a jug of water at the tap! When summer hits all things should be in working order.

Ponderosa Campground, Unita, is our favorite place to camp. It is quite, beautiful, and relaxing. We love it here.There is no cell phone service here, however, which we wish it had. We would have to drive down the canyon until we got service to call family or check on family.

Our stay was really nice and the campsites we had were both very secluded. The restrooms were super clean and every morning the host cleaned them out for the odor and overall cleanliness. Other than the crazy storm we had , it was a perfect trip. Will definitely be coming back again.

It is one of my favorite camp grounds when I just want to get away to nature. No cell coverage, but good sites with trees and in the evening you can see the wildlife. Deer, Moose, turkeys and large raptors in the sky.

Enjoyed the fact that I was able to reserve a site and was able to have a nice evening in the mountains. Camp host was very nice and helpful.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
