The campsite itself was beautiful, but poorly maintained. There was trash everywhere when we got there.The worst part was the noise level. I've camped my whole life, I know you can't reasonably ask for a quiet campground. But the level of volume was insane - people literally screaming at each other well into the night, in the early morning, and any other opportunity. The camp hosts did nothing to try to police the volume during quiet hours. It was so bad I did not stay more than one night, which is a first for me and my family. I was fine losing the money on the reservation to not have to put up with the noise and interruptions again.Last thing, the the fall apparently the whole campground is in the middle of a cow here migration. Huge cows making noise and coming through the woods and individual campsites at every hour of the day. Can't blame the cow but we woke up a to a huge, stinky surprise next to our firepit the morning. This would have been the perfect campsite if we were the only ones in the woods, which is unrealistic. Still, nothing was done to clean the place or keep it semi-reasonable. For the first time ever, I left after the first night and wouldn't recommend it.

Payson Lakes is beautiful, especially in the fall. The campsite we stayed in was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were clean, however the doors would not lock and the toilet paper ran out, so it'd be wise to pack your own. The campground was very crowded and noisy, which was magnified by the echoing through the canyon. It was nice to be close to the lake, but I would not pay another $70 to stay here again.

The host was amazing and the site was perfect for a big group. Plenty of space and very secluded from the other campgrounds. Short walk through the woods to the lake is about the only thing to deal with, but that's what camping is all about.

This was our second year visiting Payson Lakes. We love the location! We had an issue with our trailer this year and it was solved easily by running to Payson for what we needed. The campground loops are very pretty and well maintained. We have gone on weekends in September and it feels like we have the place to ourselves, The area is absolutely beautiful! We will be back next year!

A beautiful campsite, easy to find, definitely not quiet here though. This is a great spot for families. Campsites are very close. We could hear every word of the conversations of those around us. Not very private camping, but walking around the lake was nice.

Hosts were great, location is bad. Too many people packed into this place. From our site we could hear and see 4 other sites. The site needs to be thinned out.

Payson Lakes is a place you would take your family to many times. We enjoyed it so much!! We took 2 granddaughters and they loved it. They swam, 1 of them caught a fish. Next time we go we will take some canoes or other floating items. We loved our camp site!!

Its a great campground but it was a little crowded on the weekend. Our spot was on the outside loop and it seemed a little more secluded which was very nice.

Good wide open flat dirt spot to set up a 4 man tent easily. The campfire pit with an iron grate that swivels on a hinge was really convenient for making fires and cooking! Didn't expect to hear cows mooing in the evening, but it added to the natural ambience. The lakes nearby are good for fishing, we had some bites and caught a rainbow trout.

Nice campground. Very clean. Bathrooms were great at the beginning, but after a 3 day stay, they began to smell. Great fishing close by. Friendly host

We had a great experience. The lake was wonderful for fishing and paddle boarding with our kids. The camp sites were clean & the bathrooms well kept. The camp worker was friendly. The only downside was that the trash dumpster was full.

The hosts are great, the bathrooms were as clean as vault toilets can be and the spot was really nice.

We loved camping at Payson Lakes! It is a gorgeous area. Campsite & bathrooms met expectations. We loved walking around Big East Lake in the evening. I will definitely look into coming again.

Absolutely loved this place! We were very impressed with our groupsite (we booked groupsite C). So much space for the kids to play, LOTs of tables, multiple fire places -main one is huge). Our only complaint was that it was where cars had to pull through to turn around if they made a wrong turn. Maybe better signs could be placed to avoid cars coming that direction on accident as much. Aside from that, the lake is stunning! Fishing was really great. Walking around the lake on a paved trail was so nice. Ideal for strollers and our young kids to ride their bikes and scooters around it. We will be back!

This spot here was absolutely amazing. We had about 8 people in our group and it was very spacious. 4 Tents really fit comfortably. 4 vehicle's fit in the driveway. I would absolutely bought this spot if I could. 10/10. Besides that the entire Payson Lake area was absolutely astonishing! Do it, doooo it, dooooo IT.
@BradleyP607753 · Camped on Jul 26, 2024 at Campsite #C10
The map shows C10 as being on the south side of the road where the pull through site is, but it is actually on the north side of the road where there is a back in. Fortunately, the site is angled well and it was not hard to back in, and we had enough space, but could be a problem for someone else. Trailer 28'. Truck 20' parked partly under the 5th wheel trailer overhang.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
