My first time there and I had two campsites so we could park boats easily. One site had no shade which was disappointing, but we were able to park elsewhere. My biggest complaint was the men's room only had one toilet. I would think having the handicap stall up and running would be a priority. The shower was great!!

Traveling from Arkansas to the Texas coast I camped at the San Augustine Camp on Sam Rayburn from April 12th - 14th. I've stayed at this camp before and was only one site over from my last visit. Site 85. It's at the end of a dead-end camp road but no issues with backing into the site. My camper is 17 feet long. A larger camper may have a difficult time backing into the site.The camp pad was level side to side. The bathhouse was a short walk.There was only one other camper - up the road a bit - in the area so nice and quiet. The bathhouse while not fancy was adequate and clean.I had a view of the lake from my campsite.Would stay here again when passing thru the area.

The park is very well kept. The Care taker was very friendly. The bathrooms were clean and inviting. The showers could use more water pressure, but clean.

Another excellent week at San Augustine Park. Stayed across from the swimming area. Beautiful view of the wild life going down for water as the sun came up. Quiet neighbors for the weekend. No problems while making reservations, was able to check in early as well. Although the water is low, no issues launching the boat and fishing was fantastic. 10 out of 10 again.

My family has been visiting this park for over 50 years. The water level of Rayburn was ridiculous but that does not reflect on the care of the park itself. The attendant was fantastic and really made us feel welcome! Cant wait to go back.

We were there at the end of Feb, and it was great! Very quiet. I think only about 6 campsites were occupied. Both camp hosts we met were super helpful. If you like peace and quiet and a beautiful view over Sam Rayburn Lake, this is the spot. Restrooms were in great shape, as was the rest of the park.

Nice, quiet park. I stayed in site 33. Close to bathrooms and not too far from the lake.

Very good campground host that is very helpful. Most of the campsites are not even close to being level and many are very short when considering them not being level.

Stunning landscape and the park is super well maintained. Standard electric and water at our camp pad made life a breeze. It was too cold for swimming but the nighttime sky was amazing. Absolutely enjoyed our two night stay and would visit again in a heartbeat!!

I grew up as a kid and my family would go camping and fishing at the corp of engineers parks. The parksand campgrounds were always maintained and and cared for , the parks always had gated access and personelto attend to the entrance. No longer is the park entrance maned , and the people that have contracts to clean the restrooms and showers do a very poor job. no park patrols. The facilities are showing signs of age and maintenance is not being done. The on site park host do a respectful job and are very pleasant.

Very nice park. Not many hiking trails. The park host did a great job keeping the area picked up, however, visitors need to keep in mind that everyone is there to enjoy the park and they should be disposing of their trash appropriately. Anyone caught littering in the park should be fined and required to pick up trash for several hours.

First time on Sam Rayburn Reservoir,I found the park to be very well taken care of and very clean. Being solo the park attendant checked on me occasionally to see if I needed anything and told me where the fish were being caught. really enjoyed my stay and will be returning soon.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
