We stayed here one night and so far so good, its so loud from the birds ahhh nature. Were tent camping lot 40, which is okay. But where we set the tent up its rocky. But I notice on lot 39 its paved and has stairs going down to the Cumberland river.. when we arrived at 10 pm we didnt see much, but this morning it looks very clean. Check in was very easy. There is a man in RV at check in entrance. That directed us to our spot cause thats the only negative, you cant see the numbers well. But overall our mini stay it was great. Didnt catch any fish though. They have a bathhouse and a park for kids and a volleyball net. Also you have to reserve a spot at recreation.gov. It was $24 a night.

Shaun and Pam are wonderful hosts. They were very attentive to the things that needed attention when opening the campground for the season. Bathhouse is clean and does the job but needs updating. We camp here every year. Love it

The campground is beautiful and well-maintained. We loved that all the sites were so roomy, lots of trees, and paved driveways. We also loved watching all the barges go by every day. Our favorite campgrounds are the COE, and this one did not disappoint. Staff was also very friendly.

Wonderful place to ride bicycles. Very friendly workers. Very clean campground beautiful view, even if youre not on the water side. Would give the bathhouse an 6 out of 10- they are clean, hot water, just outdated and would need to be careful if balance was a concern.

Enjoyed our stayno problems with our site. Had a armadillo living in the drainage pipe underneath the sitehe was not a problem and we only saw him at night

I had three nights reserved at my favorite site and had a great setup including a new canopy I had purchased to cover the table (a definite plus), and the first night was rainy and chilly, but some sun broke out a few minutes during the second day. The weather was pretty blustery, but I was prepared to stay the second night until a late afternoon weather app (Ventusky) check predicted a concerning pattern: It was going to rain, then rain some more, then pour down for hours with 100% chance of rain. I'm a retired old guy and I agonized for an hour or so about it, but finally decided to bail, primarily because it increasingly looked like if I stayed, I would be breaking down my tent camp in pouring rain. Not an attractive option. I went ahead and broke things down and packed them up, then sat in a camp chair by the fire until the increasingly heavy drizzle had doused it. Glad for the decision but missed the rest of the trip, and of course look back to the next one. The place is a magical one, the resident management is personable and helpful but not at all intrusive, and it's quiet and clean. My favorite pastime there is to sit in my camp chair and watch the light change on the surroundings, including a lazy section of the mighty Cumberland River. The adjacent trail is closed for bridge repairs and I look foward to its return to accessibility for hikes!

If you like country music Nashville close by the fall foliage creates a nice scenic drive and the campsites are very nice and clean.

We had a great time and this spot in particular was great for us as tent campers with stairs down to the water.

Beautiful campground, with well maintained campsites along the river. The bathrooms need a little sprucing up. During our stay, the handicapped women's shower had no hot water but the regular shower did. We happened to stay on a day when no attendant was on duty and no phone number listed to get in touch with anyone if needed. All in all, one of our favorite campgrounds to stay at!

First time visit to Lock-A campground and I will come again. The campground was clean and well maintained. I had a tent site and was surprised to see concrete slabs or maybe just my site (39), but the view far out weighed the slab

Lock A had nice clean camping spots and bathhouses. We loved the trails and especially the road that extends from the end of the campground all the way beyond the dam. Its perfect for bike riding. The river spots look amazing and were hoping to experience one of those next time. Were planning to return there often.

The restrooms were much cleaner than in past years. Keep up the good work! The weather could have been nicer without the rain, but we had a great stay.

The lady at the check-in building I think her name is Cheryl is always so nice to us. The grass is always cut neatly and the trash is removed from the cans frequently. This is our favorite place to camp, it is so relaxing there.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
