Well site #37 is very dusty. There is no gravel as stated. Also, there was no camp host or firewood signage that I could see driving in. Looks like other campers brought their own wood. Otherwise, nice place to stay. The sites are very large and campsite was very quiet at 10 pm

Most of the campsites are on the side of a hill with no level spot for your trailer takes lotta blocks to get a level and then a big jump to get in and out of the trailer It was very clean the Campos did everything she could to make it a happy stay

Nice campsite, very friendly campsite host that provided wood and water. The main issue was no water, but we managed fine. Our camp spot was away from the crowd, felt private. Great little mountain bike trails, even goos for a novice. Close to town. Will come back!

We really enjoyed our time at Lakeside. We have been coming here for over 30 years and its nice to see that it hasnt changed much. The facilities are always kept clean and the campgrounds are free of debris making it easy to pull in and set up camp quickly.

Our campsite was flooded, but the really nice hosts accommodated us elsewhere. Prior notice would have been nice. Still no water at the campground and the main road hasnt seen any maintenance in years. But still a great place to camp!

I have stayed there every summer for several years. I was glad my campsite wast one of the ones under water- The reservoir can get pretty high. I loved that tho- as many campsites were not accessible, I could walk my dogs along the waters edge, let the swim on extended leashes, & not bother anyone. I just Iive within 40 miles of this campground & its one of my very favorites!

We arrived to find someone else in our spot. Camp host was VERY friendly, HOWEVER she stated "I can't make them move". Okay so that means I can just book any site then once I get there decide to pick a better site even though it's reserved? What a terrible policy. We specifically booked a waterfront site weeks in advance but the rude campers who were supposed to be at site 26 on 6/4 took our spot (according to the host) and they refused to move when confronted by me. The camp host should have made them move, but instead we were offered an alternative site with tons of bushes and no waterfront access. Ended up leaving at 7am the next day and going somewhere else. I have reached out for a refund, waiting to hear back...

Had a great time. Camp hosts were great, very friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Cell reception was great-Verizon. Experienced a fantastic lightning storm in the evening and saw a variety of animal species, bald eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks and herons. Great Lake for Kayaking and fishing.

Large sites and many waterfront sites in May/June. Water will be receding soon. Nice friendly Hosts. Sites were flooded but they managed to get everyone in good alternative spots. Beautiful and quiet campground. Clean. Kim is really nice!

The camp host at this park (and her husband) are keeping the campsites and the toilets immaculate...Kudos to both of them!! The campsite are inspiringly located...we were there on a weekday...to avoid noise and crowds, try planning your stay on weekdays!!

The camp host was wonderful, friendly, kept the bathrooms clean and would stop a chat. Campground was quiet which was nice, Although the lake was very high and Ive never seen it this high before, everyday the water level would rise and we had to pull in out slide out in so people could drive by but by Monday (Memorial Day) we had to switch campsites so others could leave, this was a pain but we did it for the other campers. I dont understand why they cant just let some water out.

Campsite 6 is a great site. Its a little bit more private than the other sites and provides shade while still having lake views. We brought a propane campfire pit since there is a burn ban in place and we were really glad that we did. We wouldnt recommend campsite 8 as its in the middle of a loop and surrounded by other campsites and does not provide any privacy.

Clean well kept facilities.

This is a good campground, with a few caveats. The first of which is that there is zero running water, potable or not. This makes it incredibly hard on tent campers (like myself), and RV campers who don't want to haul gallons of water up the mountain. Hindsight is that it is 2024, we have cell service and truckee is 10 minutes away, and this campground and surrounding campgrounds should have flush toilets and potable water available. Building on that the road is in terrible condition with multiple potholes and speedbumps (even though the potholes are so big that they act as speed bumps). It may be time to close down a little early in the season to give this campground some much needed upgrades. Finally, tent campers beware that if you pick a site on the lake you will likely have little to no shade whatsoever. Adding to that campsite 8 should only really be used if you have a large group and you want to reserve the entire loop around it, this is a horrible site for solo campers and tent campers, as you are right in the middle of a loop and everyone can easily see your business.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
