This campground has great space for each campsite and beautiful scenery. The campground was quiet and well taken care of. We would absolutely stay here again.

Unfortunately, my reservation information had the most important information at the very bottom of the email. It said, theres water in the campground. I didnt read to the bottom of the email so I had not put water in my tank. Fortunately for me this really nice park volunteer directed me to the Ranger station where in front of the Fire station there is a hose. Potable and pretty good tasting.

Wonderful campground, spacious, private, shady. In late June when I was there the water was broken, though they did have a back up container I would bring your own potable water. We filled up at the ranger ranger station.

Very nice smallish campground in a beautiful spot. Second year of no-water at the campground.

We had a reservation for site 18, arriving on June 17th. We arrived at 2:30pm, and someone was in our site with all their gear - big camper, ATVs, paddle boards, all of it. When I showed the camp host that we had booked that site, she basically threw up her hands and said "well they have been there for two nights already, and aren't leaving for another two nights". She had no interest in doing anything even though I was showing her my confirmation email. She proceeded to say "their friends left just now for a doctor's appointment, and you can take their site (19) for the night". There was nothing else we could do as the campground was completely booked. As we were getting settled in the campers who were in our site came over asking about the situation, and to tell us that their son would be coming up the following night so we had to leave by then. It was as if they were all doing us a big favor - we had booked and paid for 18 a month prior. We have camped here many times, and have never had a problem. Most likely this will be the last time, too.

I threw my husband a 50th birthday at this location last time we went. It was a good time. We walked down to the reservoir as a group and enjoyed the sights and stood in the water. This place is beautiful and the camp ground is always nice to stay in. There does need to be an upgrade done to some of the picnic tables. The one in the space we stayed is falling apart and someone put the bench seat on the stumps where the trailer sits. We will always come back though. So pretty and very peaceful.

We were there in September with our trailer. The campground was nice and clean. Only a few other people at that time. Great hiking and biking trails nearby. The Donner Interpretive loop is 1.5 miles from camp. The walk through the meadow was so beautiful with all the fall colors just starting to change. Id definitely come back.

There was no water. Check ahead so you don't get bushwhacked. This was a one-nighter for us and we would not have stayed any longer unless we had brought our kayaks.

Camphost was awesome! He came over and greeted us on the first day and said goodbye on the last day. Even brought us some firewood.

This is a nice, quiet, well-managed campground in what is otherwise the super-busy Truckee area. I gave it 4 stars only because of the water situation. I understand that pipes need to be repaired, but money is apparently not available to get it done. It doesn't seem to keep people away (we brought enough water for our 4-night family camp), so you do need to reserve. The sites are level and easy to back a small trailer into. Prosser Reservoir, a nature preserve, is within a short walk. We like wildlife and birdwatching, so we appreciate that no motorized boats are allowed.

My camp site was spacious and had a little trail leading down to the lake. While there were plenty of other folks at the campground, everyone was really respectful, quiet, and friendly. The campsite had plenty of flat spots for setting up a tent. Bathrooms were very clean. Be sure to bring plenty of water when potable water is not available.

Well maintained campground. It was full of folks over the holiday weekend and toilets were never smelly or dirty. Site 28 is next to the road and noise was never a problem. It was a large space as well! Will be back!

This is a beautiful campground. However, it is long over due for the drinking water to be made available to all of the campers.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
