I love this place! Its the place where we first dry camped 7 years ago and weve been back 1-2 times every year since.

Worst trip ever! It starts off with the "camp host" being a squatter enjoying a place to stay with a lake to go play in. Being responsible for keeping the peace is optional. There was anywhere from 2-3 additional trailers per site. Ten or more people plus all the cars that they drove in with. People had there dogs running loose and with those dogs would go through other people's sites to play their games. All this spells disaster and after many nights of all night parties and generators running end in confrontation between campers. When the camp host was asked for help to go around and ask for everyone to quite it down a bit and turn off generators he got up turned off his lights and refused to open the door. Forest service was collecting money for extra vehicles but never once had people follow campsite rules (e.g.. camp somewhere else if you are over the allowed number and cars, generator and quiet hours). So now we mark this place down as another lawless campsite like Stampede. What is really sad is camping is a place people go to enjoy nature, have a quite place away from all the stress of town and work, and be able to just relax. Now it is about who can be loudest, who can rip it up on the lake, and a dog park. Forest service had plenty of opportunities to remedy the problem but chose to turn a blind eye. Hopefully someone will do something before this end with someone getting seriously hurt, like falling of the roof of a party bus. Sad stuff. Also, the forest sevice may want to look into how much money came in for extra vehicles because I did see their employee collecting money but not sure how much actually made it into the office.
