Have stayed in this campsite a few times as we like it. Nice campsites, great host. Near to Lake Alpine. It's a quiet campsite but hear some noise from the road. There is only one pump to get water, so bring containers to carry water back to campsite.

Great Location if you want to explore Alpine county. sites are small and have little privacy. Still a great basecamp if you want to explore all the fishing spots.

We stayed in site 7 which is right next to a trail road. It's very private, off the beaten path at the back of the campground. Really quiet and beautiful tall trees surround it. Restrooms were clean and well kept. We loved out stay here.

The campsites were fine and it felt like we mostly had the place to ourselves, which is always a fun feeling. My biggest frustration is that the reservation map does not match the layout of the campground, so when we arrived to use number 3, which I had chosen because it was away from the highway, it was on the other side of the place. It wasn't a big deal, but they should really revise that as it might make a big difference who needs to be in a particular location.

Fantastic basic campsite. Not many amenities. Group campsites can get a little loud sometimes. And there isn't much level ground for sleeping. But the peace I experienced in those woods was profound. I loved it. Get away from the city. Get back to nature. Relax. And if you need a little taste of civilization again, you are less than 2 miles from the lake and lodge. Personnel are kind and hospitable. Ps. Sometimes they lock up the community dumpster early. So take your trash over before 7 if you don't want to lock it up in your car overnight.

Some loud party folks in the group camp area which we were pretty far away from but still heard throughout the night all well into quiet hours. It didnt bother me too much but the campground personal are stationed at another site so they couldnt hear it to do anything unless it was reported. Site 9 has some immediate neighbors that might bother some. Id say they are closer together than some of the other sites. My boys ended up hanging out with the neighbor boys. So all good there. Bathrooms were portapotties and are pretty hard to use when full. Luckily we stayed through days where it was emptied and its not bad at all then haha.

The campground is reasonably quite. Very little drive through traffic. Campsites vary in size, some are large but not moverable for large trailers,It is not convenient to the Lake alpine at about 2 1/2 miles farther up the highway.

We have stayed in a group site here before and really enjoyed it. This time though the porta potties were extremely full and were very overdue to be emptied. It was disgusting. They added bear boxes but unfortunately our ice chest wouldnt fit. The positives are that the camp host was good and Alpine Lake is wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay in Lodgepole Campground. There is a wide variety of camp site sizes. The camp sites are large and spread out, not side by side. Sites have large heavy duty wood or concrete tables. Each site has a metal fire ring and plenty of wood to split and burn.There is only one source for water from a mid western hand pump source. It provides cold, clean, great tasting mountain water.The camp ground is very quiet and without very little drive through traffic since it is an considered overflow camp sites when the other camp grounds around Lake Alpine are full. Lodgepole campground is located on the highway about 2 miles away from Lake Alpine.

The campground was wonderful. The cleanup after the winter storms was impactful, but the team and camp host communicated things well. We were surprised with how good a condition the place was in.Cell service was passable. T-Mobile had LTE service, for voice and text. Data service was quite slow, around 150 to 250kbps.Shopping is available at Lake Alpine Lodge or Bear Valley general stores. Both are wonderful, and quite close.

We stayed in Group Campground B at Lodgepole, it was a great site! We had a blast! It is unfortunate that the porta potties were a bit of a walk away, would have been nice to have one closer to the furthest part of the camp site. But still doable. The sign to turn is off highway 4 is very hard to see especially at night. Should be located closer to road or at least a warning sign before the turn. With an travel trailer it was more difficult to turn around to go back. But once in campground it’s a great place! Lots of shade! We would love to go back!

The people next to my campground were very loud and partied until 2 to 3 am every night. Unfortunately there was no ranger to give them notice. No permanent bathroom. I will not stay in this campground next time

We had a fantastic stay! The grounds were beautiful and it was so relaxing! There is a bear box at each site and pretty much every site we saw had plenty of shade throughout the day. It was perfect. Highly recommend.

Lodgepole is a over flow campground for Lake Alpine. It was a very nice, clean & had bear boxes. It is less than a 5 min drive to the lake. The camp host was friendly.

Unmaintained entrance road, porta potties, and only one water pump. Will likely never stay again and pick another campground up in the Lake Alpine area.

Host was friendly and helpful.

Campsite was great. Very scenic and a nice location to go hiking. The lake is just a few minutes away driving from our campsite. The lake was also beautiful and quiet when we were there. Lots of fish in the water jumping around. Hubby did see a bear late at night near our campsite but apparently the bear walked away at the sight of my husband’s flashlight. We made sure to put all of our food in a vehicle since we didn’t have any bear proof containers. There is one water pump, dumpster and porta potties nearby. Temperature during day was a comfortable 79 degrees but at night it gets chilly about 48 degrees. Cell service is also very limited depending on who your provider is. Overall great experience and we would definitely come again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lodgepole Campground. We used several sites. All of the sites were well kept and clean when we arrived. We enjoyed a lot of shade, empty fire pits, and good tables. The campground was quiet, sites were nicely spaced. The campground is a couple of miles from the lake so there was little traffic though the campground.

Enjoyed our stay at Lodgepole. Host Daniel is very friendly. Experienced a bear at our camp. Make sure you put food inside car. Experiencing a bear was exciting and scary. Camp host Daniel was available to assist anytime of day or night. Wonderful experience plan to stay two times a month until October.

Nicely kept area; close to Lake and day use parking; like anywhere today, get your day use parking early though! A lot to do: hiking, biking, water sports with lots of shoreline areas; easy boat ramp. Do not forget anything as store prices are HIGH! !!!!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
