Sandbeach Campground is located in the Hebo Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest (1 hr 22 min west of McMinnville, OR) with an elevation of 15 feet. There are a total of 81 campsites. The campground is open all year. Max equipment length is 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $25.00 per night. Some amenities include swimming, flush toilets. Activities include ohv trails nearby, fishing, hiking trails.
Planning ahead for Fourth of July? Sand Lake Recreation Area will have a ticket system during the holiday weekend (July 3 – 5, 2026). Visitors will need a vehicle ticket or a reservation at a developed campground. Campsite vehicle parking limits will be strictly enforced. The campground is not very taken care of. There is a lot of trash laying around. My particular site someone had used the fire ring as a garbage can. I get it, the campgrounds are more of a staging area for off road vehicles... but come on, have some pride. It was relatively quiet while I was there, only a few campers and that was pretty nice. I have used SandBeach Campgrounds as a middle point on my Oregon Coast camping trips and now that nearby Cape Lookout is open again I think this will be my last visit to SandBeach..... the garbage is just too much.

Please note this is an ATV campground. There are lots of people constantly driving around from early to very late. Lots of families in campers. This did not bother us but may bother others looking for a quiet campsite. We did not have any service at the campsite (totally fine) but did get some service out on the beach! (I have T-Mobile). There are no showers (which is fine, we knew this ahead of time) but there was no soap or even hand sanitizer in the bathrooms (definitely pack your own). Every campsite has a fire pit and large picnic table.They were not strict on the 2 car rule as we had 3 at ours and they only asked to make sure everyone was parked fully on the pavement. The beach and lake are beautiful!

I do a lot of camping and the camp ground was well maintained. The camp host were the best that I have ever met. I will be back to this campground.

Bathrooms we fairly clean. They used to be heated. It would be nice to have that again. It was a little loud but, you have to expect that staying here. The firepit was full to the point that I had to dig it out in order to use it. All in all it was a very good experience.

The accommodations were beautiful, we had an excellent time and everything was clean. We enjoyed the easy access to the dunes. We will stay here again.

Bring your wind and rain gear along with a good sense of humor, might as well bring your family down with you to enjoy the experience! Park was kept up by the friendly camp hosts. Enjoy camping when you can.

The condition of this campground is poor. We come about one time per year. Luckily, we are self-contained. When we arrive, we police our own campsites for trash, dog piles, etc. The restrooms are not kept very clean at all, as per usual. The RV dump has been out of order for years.

The dunes & beach were amazing!The camp hosts greeted us with rules & saying the restrooms were well kept. They were not! We bought rubber gloves and a bucket with which to unclog toilets so those in our party without their own could actually use one.Note - The gentleman of the camp host party was friendly. The woman? She just wanted to list rules in a "this us my place" way, & none of us were impressed by her tone/attitude.

The bathrooms near our campsite were always plugged up and almost no water pressure. The other problem was the lack of respect for the quiet time. As late as 2am there were quads and dirtbikes riding in and out of the campgrounds. Otherwise it was a good time. Ps the camp host seemed very nice.

Neighbors did not respect the quiet after ten rules and became belligerent when asked nicely to lower their voices and music since small children were trying to sleep. Host was no where to be found.
